Features:
- Serves as the signal gateway between field 4–20 mA current loop devices and the FIO rack backplane
- Integrates 16-channel analog input acquisition with internal 24 V DC loop power supply
- Functions alongside YOKOGAWA FIO series controllers and standard process monitoring modules
The AAI141-H00 S1 operates as the 16-channel non-isolated analog input module in a FIO rack, providing reliable conversion of 4–20 mA field signals to digital process data for all connected system modules. It continuously receives current inputs from field transmitters, flow meters, pressure sensors, and level indicators, converting these analog signals through independent A/D circuitry on each of its 16 channels, then distributing the digitized values through the rack backplane to support real-time process monitoring and regulatory control operations. Stable signal acquisition is standard with the AAI141-H00 S1; however, proper system grounding and controlled electromagnetic environments are essential to maintain measurement accuracy given its non-isolated channel design. The AAI141-H00 S1 has been engineered for economical high-density deployment in addition to incorporating universal 4–20 mA input capability with internal loop power support within the FIO rack.
The AAI141-H00 S1 delivers essential analog input functions fundamental to the entire process monitoring path, and constitutes a critical component of the data acquisition chain, directly influencing the proper, normal operation of the overall control system. One AAI141-H00 S1 module occupies a single slot in the rack and can be installed in any available I/O position, with total channel capacity expandable through additional AAI141-H00 S1 modules as process monitoring requirements increase.
For applications demanding expanded channel counts, the FIO System accommodates multiple AAI141-H00 S1 analog input modules distributed across available slots. Beyond standard single-module operation, this modular configuration also enables seamless system scaling. The FIO multi-module architecture executes signal integration using the internal backplane circuitry defined in the rack specifications. Through this approach, the system continuously processes analog inputs from all installed AAI141-H00 S1 modules. Should the system identify that a specific AAI141-H00 S1 channel is no longer delivering valid measurements (outside configured range limits or indicating an open loop condition), it will automatically flag the channel status and record an event in the System Event List for operator notification.
The AAI141-H00 S1 YOKOGAWA Analog Input Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
