Features:
- Provides 32 isolated transistor outputs with 100mA/channel current capacity.
- Supports status, pulse width, and time-proportioning output modes.
- Offers 3ms response time and 8ms pulse width resolution.
The ADV551-P00 S2 provides 32 isolated digital output channels with current sink output format. Each channel supports maximum load current of 100mA at 26.4V DC, enabling direct drive of relays, solenoids, and indicator lamps. The rated applied voltage is 24V DC with external power supply range of 20.4 to 26.4V DC. The ADV551-P00 S2 features withstanding voltage of 2kV AC between output signal and system, ensuring robust isolation and noise immunity. Output ON voltage is 2V DC maximum with leakage current of only 0.1mA when OFF. The ADV551-P00 S2 supports dual-redundant configuration and connects via pressure clamp terminals, AKB331 cable, or MIL connectors.
The ADV551-P00 S2 supports multiple output functions to meet diverse application requirements. The status output function provides ON/OFF status detection for monitoring field device states. The pulse width output function enables one-shot pulse generation with programmable width from 8ms to 7200s, ideal for timed actuator control. The time-proportioning ON/OFF output function supports proportional control for applications requiring variable duty cycles. Pulse width resolution is 8ms with an additional ON/OFF delay of maximum 1ms. The ADV551-P00 S2 output response time is 3ms or less for status output and 10ms or less for mixed status and pulse outputs.
The ADV551-P00 S2 is designed for efficient operation in space-constrained control cabinets. It consumes only 700mA at 5V DC and 60mA from external power supply, minimizing heat generation and power costs. The ADV551-P00 S2 supports external connections via pressure clamp terminals, dedicated AKB331 cable, or MIL connector cable. Available with suffix codes for status display options (with or without), explosion protection variants, and ISA Standard G3 option with extended temperature range (-20°C to 70°C) for harsh environments.
The ADV551-P00 S2 YOKOGAWA Digital Output Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond
End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Discrete Valve Automation: Controls the open/close status of Solenoid Valves, Pneumatic Actuators, and motorized on-off valves embedded in process piping networks.
- Motor Control Centers (MCC) Interface: Routes discrete run/stop signals, speed selection steps, and reset commands directly to Motor Starters and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Plant Signalling and Alarming: Drives large annunciator panels, stack lights (beacons), horns, and audible sirens across control rooms and processing areas during event alerts.
- High-Density Output Layout: Packs 32 isolated discrete channels into a single compact card footprint, significantly reducing the required space inside control cabinets.
- Current Capacity and Switched Voltage: Each channel operates on a standard 24 V DC nominal rating and is capable of sinking or sourcing up to 0.1 A per channel. This allows it to directly power most standard low-power industrial solenoid coils without secondary amplification.
- Rapid Response Latency: Boaerds an ultra-fast output turn-on/turn-off response time of under 2 milliseconds, ensuring that protective safety logic or sequence steps are executed with negligible delay.
- Petrochemical and Chemical Refining: Controls complex sequential batch operations, catalyst injection lines, and purging sequences where precisely timed valve movements are mandatory.
- Power Generation Facilities (Thermal & Nuclear): Manages discrete auxiliary equipment loops, water cooling pump triggers, and heavy circuit breaker activation coils under severe electromagnetic fields.
- Oil & Gas Mainline Pipelines: Deployed at automated pumping or compressor block-valve stations to manage discrete isolation loops over expansive geographic areas.
