The ABB RAIO-01 Analogue I/O Extension Module provides enhanced flexibility and precision for ABB drive systems. It features two bipolar current (±0[4]…20 mA) or voltage (±0[2]…10 V or ±0…2 V) inputs and two unipolar current (0[4]…20 mA) outputs with 12-bit resolution, ensuring accurate signal acquisition and output control. All inputs and outputs are galvanically isolated as a group from each other and from the power supply, reducing interference and enhancing system reliability.
Mounting options include installation into an option slot of the RMIO board or onto an external AIMA-01 I/O Module Adapter, offering flexible integration into existing drive systems. The module features IP20 protection and robust hardware configuration options, including a rotary switch for node ID selection and DIP switches for input mode and signal type selection.
The module’s high-performance analogue characteristics ensure precise signal processing, with an input impedance of 100 Ω for current and 200 kΩ for voltage, resolution of 0.024% in unipolar mode, and inaccuracy of ±0.5% full scale at 25 °C. Temperature effects are minimal, with a coefficient of ±100 ppm/°C max, and the module includes a 2 ms hardware filter to smooth signal variations. With a maximum power consumption of 100 mA (5 V) + 120 mA (24 V), the RAIO-01 is a low-power, high-precision solution for analogue signal extension.
