- Provides sixteen individually isolated 10–30 V DC sink/source outputs
- Outputs 0–7 support as many as sixteen scheduled transitions in 100 µs increments
- Requires CST synchronization, temperature derating, and a 1756-TBCH or 1756-TBS6H terminal block
1756-OB16IS combines standard isolated DC output operation with scheduled switching on its first eight points.
Scheduled commands use the Logix Scheduled Output Data Per Point format and Coordinated System Time; they must not be confused with confirmation from the external load.
Confirm output polarity, load current, ambient-temperature derating, RTB wiring, controller ownership, CST master, task timing, and MAOC configuration before operation.
Availability, condition, price, and shipping time for 1756-OB16IS are confirmed during quotation.

- Use outputs 0–7 when the application requires 1756-OB16IS scheduled operation
- Enter scheduled transitions in documented 100 µs increments referenced to CST
- Do not exceed sixteen scheduled transitions for an individual scheduled output
- Derate each output from 2 A at 30 °C to 1 A at 60 °C
- Derate total module output from 8 A at 30 °C to 4 A at 60 °C
- Include load inrush, external protection, enclosure temperature, and conductor heating in the review
- Select Scheduled Output Data Per Point when the Logix project uses scheduled 1756-OB16IS commands
- Verify the CST master, controller time synchronization, task timing, and MAOC ownership
- Prove standard and scheduled outputs separately before enabling the machine sequence
- Individually isolated 12 V or 24 V DC sink/source field circuits
- Position-based machine-output control using scheduled outputs 0–7
- Mixed installations using scheduled points 0–7 and standard operation on points 8–15
