Features:
- Basic rack management with setpoint adjust, system reset, OK relay, and Keyphasor signal distribution.
- Compatible with DDM CP, TDM CP, and PDM CP communications processors for data acquisition.
- Two Keyphasor channels for speed and phase reference measurements in original 3300 systems.
The 3300/01-01-00 delivers what every 3300 rack needs: setpoint adjustment, system reset, OK relay output, and Keyphasor signals. No extra features, no complexity—just the basics to keep your original 3300 system running. This monitor is the workhorse of first-generation racks, providing reliable control over alarm setpoints without requiring external configuration tools. The OK relay gives you a clean, dry contact for system health monitoring—critical for integrating with plant-wide control systems. The reset function allows operators to clear latched alarms after conditions return to normal, minimizing unnecessary downtime.
Works with backplane Option AA (01-17), 3300/10/11/14 power supplies, and original Power Input Modules. The 3300/01-01-00 is the correct monitor for first-generation 3300 systems that predate SDI/DDI. If your rack has the original backplane (Option AA with numbers 01 through 17), this monitor is your direct replacement. No adapter plates, no backplane swaps, no wiring changes.
While it lacks onboard serial ports, the 3300/01-01-00 talks to the outside world via DDM, TDM, or PDM communications processors. Connect to DM2000 software or a DCS without upgrading the entire rack. The external communications processor installs in a separate chassis or alongside the rack, pulling data from the 3300/01-01-00 through the rack backplane. This means you can still get vibration, position, and Keyphasor data into your plant network—even though the monitor itself has no serial port.
The 3300/01-01-00 Bently Nevada Basic System Monitor may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Power Industry: Vibration and displacement monitoring of steam turbines, water turbines, and generators.
- Petrochemical and Refining Industries: Protection of large compressors (centrifugal or reciprocating), pump sets, gearboxes, and blowers.
- Heavy Industrial Manufacturing: Status monitoring of key equipment such as fans and air separation units in steel plants.
- Diagnostic Interface: The front panel features a coaxial interface (BNC) for direct, buffered output of keyphasor signals, facilitating connection to an external dynamic balancing instrument or oscilloscope for mechanical fault analysis.
- Power-up Inhibit: Automatically suppresses alarms for approximately 2 seconds during system startup or voltage instability to prevent accidental equipment shutdown due to transient interference.
- Self-test and status monitoring: It has power-on self-test and cycle self-test functions. If a module failure or sensor failure is detected (NOT OK), the OK LED on the panel will flash and output an error code.
- Physical Installation:
The module must be installed in the second slot of the 3300 frame (adjacent to the power module).
- The rear terminal block (PIM) provides connection to an external host (RS232/RS422) and rack-mount suppression/reset contacts.
- Upgrade Path, In-Frame Upgrade: The 3300/01 is an earlier model. For enhanced digital communication capabilities (such as SDI/DDI protocols), consider replacing it with the 3300/03 SDI/DDI system monitor.
- System-Level Update: As the 3300 series is nearing the end of its lifecycle, an upgrade to the more advanced 3500 series mechanical protection system is strongly recommended for higher safety levels (SIL certification) and data integration capabilities.
