Features:
- Patented TipLoc™ molding provides a stronger bond between the probe tip and body.
- Gold-plated ClickLoc™ connectors require only finger-tight torque (audible "click" confirms proper engagement).
- FluidLoc® cable option prevents oil and other liquids from leaking out of the machine through the cable interior.
The 330130-040-01-05 extension cable benefits from two patented mechanical innovations. First, TipLoc™ molding creates a much stronger bond between the probe tip and the probe body compared to previous designs. This prevents the tip from loosening or rotating during installation or under vibration. Second, CableLoc™ secures the cable attachment point where the probe cable joins the probe tip. This design provides an impressive 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength. In practical terms, even if someone accidentally pulls on the cable during installation or maintenance, the connection will not separate.
The 330130-040-01-05 uses gold-plated ClickLoc™ connectors at all interfaces. Gold plating provides excellent corrosion resistance, which is critical in environments with moisture, oil, or chemical vapors. Unlike traditional connectors that require wrenches and specific torque values, ClickLoc™ connectors tighten by hand. You simply screw the coupling nut until you hear a distinct "click." This audible feedback confirms that the connector is fully engaged and locked. The specially engineered locking mechanism prevents the connector from loosening due to vibration – a common problem with standard coaxial connectors.
The 330130-040-01-05 offers two important options for environmental protection. First, the optional FluidLoc® cable prevents oil and other process liquids from leaking out of the machine through the cable interior. In applications such as steam turbines or compressors with oil-lubricated bearings, a standard cable can act as a wick, drawing oil along the internal strands and creating a leak path. FluidLoc® eliminates this risk, keeping the machine sealed and preventing environmental contamination. Second, connector protectors can be ordered pre-installed or as field-installed kits.
The 330130-040-01-05 Bently Nevada Extension Cable may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL)by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Rotating Machinery Monitoring: Used to measure shaft vibration, axial displacement, and rotational speed in sliding bearing machinery.
- Phase Reference: As part of a Keyphasor system, it provides an accurate phase reference signal.
- Harsh Industrial Environments: The armored design makes it particularly suitable for extreme physical environments such as oil, petrochemical, refining, and offshore platforms, where it is susceptible to mechanical damage or oil corrosion.
- Connector Technology: Utilizes gold-plated ClickLoc™ coaxial connectors, requiring only finger tightening to achieve the predetermined torque (a "click" sound is produced when rotating), requiring no special tools and preventing loosening due to vibration.
- Electrical Compatibility: Requires the total electrical length of the probe cable and extension cable to match the total length required by the proximitor (e.g., 5-meter or 9-meter systems) to maintain the standard sensitivity of 7.87 V/mm.
- Explosion-proof Certification: Option "05" means that the cable complies with major international safety standards, including CSA in North America, ATEX in Europe, and IECEx certification from the International Electrotechnical Commission, allowing installation in hazardous areas such as Class I, Division 1, or Zone 0.
- Industry Standards: Fully compliant with API 670 (4th Edition), meeting the stringent requirements of the American Petroleum Institute for mechanical protection systems in terms of linearity, accuracy, and temperature stability.
- Durability: Operating temperature range covers -51°C to +177°C, with excellent resistance to chemical corrosion and moisture.
