Description

3500/15-05-05-01 is a dual universal AC power-supply configuration for the Bently Nevada 3500 rack. Options 05 and 05 install universal AC supplies in both the top and bottom power positions, while option 01 specifies CSA/NRTL/C Class I, Division 2 approval.

Either supply can power a full rack. In a redundant arrangement the lower unit operates as primary and the upper unit as backup, allowing one supply to be removed or inserted without interrupting rack operation when the remaining supply is healthy.

What does 3500/15-05-05-01 include?
The code selects a universal AC supply in both the top and bottom rack power positions with approval option 01.
Which supply is primary in a dual arrangement?
The lower power supply acts as primary and the upper supply acts as backup.
Can each supply power the complete rack?
Yes. Either correctly installed supply is rated to power a full 3500 rack.
Which rear modules must be used?
Match each front universal AC supply with the compatible universal AC Power Input Module located directly behind it.
Are universal AC and legacy AC modules interchangeable?
No. The current universal AC supply and PIM are not compatible with legacy high- or low-voltage AC units.
What happens when one supply is removed?
Rack operation continues without interruption when the other installed supply remains healthy and correctly powered.
