The Bently Nevada 3500/62 163179-03 Process Variable Monitor is a six-channel module designed for continuous monitoring of critical machine parameters such as pressures, flows, temperatures, and levels. Each channel accepts proportional voltage inputs from -10 Vdc to +10 Vdc, 4-20 mA isolated, or 4-20 mA with Intrinsically Safe zener barriers, and conditions the signals to generate alert and danger setpoints.
The monitor provides precise measurements with an accuracy of ±0.33% typical of full scale and a maximum deviation of ±1%. Alert timings can be set from 1 to 60 seconds in 1-second intervals, while danger timings can be set from 1 to 60 seconds in 0.5-second intervals. Input impedances are 1 MΩ for ±10V I/O and 50 Ω for 4-20 mA I/O, with a voltage compliance of 13.66 V for barrier I/O. Isolated I/O features 500 V isolation, ensuring safe operation in complex environments.
The monitor operates reliably under harsh conditions with a typical power consumption of 7 Watts, an operating temperature range of -30°C to +65°C (-22°F to +149°F) or 0°C to +65°C (+32°F to +149°F) depending on installation, and a storage range of -40°C to +85°C (-40°F to +185°F). It also tolerates up to 95% non-condensing humidity, making it suitable for industrial and process control applications.
The 3500/62 integrates seamlessly with the 3500 Rack Configuration Software, allowing easy programming of voltage or current measurements and alarm setpoints. In Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) configuration, monitors must be installed in adjacent groups of three, employing dual voting logic to ensure reliable operation and avoid single-point failures. This makes the 3500/62 ideal for both operations and maintenance personnel seeking continuous machine condition monitoring.
