The Delta ACC-24E2S 603581-101 Axis Expansion Board delivers four channels of PMAC2-style stepper interface and encoder/MLDT circuitry, designed for integration with UMAC and Ultralite/MACRO Station controllers. It is part of the UMAC or MACRO Pack family of expansion cards and is built to plug seamlessly into industrial 3U rack systems, transferring data directly to the CPU via high-speed UBUS communication.
Each step and direction output is RS422 compatible and supports both differential and single-ended 5 V configurations. The board also includes flag input terminals capable of connecting to 12 V–24 V sensors or limit switches, making it ideal for flexible motion control applications. Up to eight ACC-24E2S boards can expand a UMAC controller to 32 additional stepper channels, while MACRO Station CPUs support two boards for eight stepper motor channels.
The ACC-24E2S is particularly suitable for dual feedback systems, processing up to four encoders on a single board within a 3U rack. It contains no processor itself but features a highly integrated four-channel PMAC2-style ServoIC with supporting buffering circuitry and connectors. The board occupies a single slot on the backplane while providing robust connectivity for advanced automation systems.
The Delta ACC-24E2S 603581-101 operates at 5 V DC with 0.9 A (±10%), features DB15 female or RONT-MC terminal block connectors, and is rated for 0–45 °C operating temperature with -25–70 °C storage range. The humidity tolerance is 10–95 % non-condensing, ensuring reliable performance in typical industrial environments.
