- Keep the exact PR6423 sensor and CON021 converter together
- Confirm target material, shaft diameter and initial gap
- Protect the adapter and 8 m signal cable from strain and interference
Emerson PR6423-002-030 CON021 combines an 8 mm non-contact probe with a CON021 converter for shaft displacement and vibration measurement.
The sensor order code defines an M10 × 1 unarmored body, 45 mm sleeve, adapter plug, 8 m total cable and LEMO end; CON021 supplies the matched signal conversion.
Before installation, confirm the sensor/converter pairing, shaft material and diameter, mechanical reach, working gap, adapter condition, cable routing, converter supply and monitor scale.
Availability, condition, price, and shipping time for PR6423-002-030 CON021 are confirmed during quotation.

- Use a stiff, vibration-free holder with the correct M10×1 mounting thread.
- Leave at least two threads free toward the sensor head after adjustment.
- Tighten the PR6423 fixing nuts to no more than 15 N·m.
- Do not shorten the PR6423 sensor cable or extension cable; coil excess cable with a diameter of at least 100 mm.
- Maintain a minimum bending radius of 25 mm for the standard unarmored cable.
- Cover the connected LEMO adapter plug with the supplied shrink sleeve; do not turn the LEMO connectors when disconnecting them.
- The standard target material is 42CrMo4 / AISI 4140 ferromagnetic steel
- The probe operates as part of a calibrated PR6423 sensor-and-converter measuring chain
- Hazardous-area classification depends on the selected converter and complete installation
- Monitor radial shaft displacement and vibration on turbines, compressors, pumps and fans
- Measure axial shaft position or eccentricity with the matched PR6423-002-030 CON021 chain
- Generate speed or key-pulse signals with a verified ferromagnetic target and compatible monitor
