- 16 mm non-contact probe geometry supports shaft-motion measurement on critical rotating machinery
- The ordering code fixes the M18×1.5 mounting, sleeve, adapter, cable length, and connector arrangement
- The probe operates as one element of a calibrated Emerson sensor-and-converter measuring chain
Emerson PR6424-003-030 is the commercial hyphen form of the official PR6424/003-030 ordering configuration.
It is intended for non-contact measurement of radial or axial shaft behavior, including position, eccentricity, displacement, and vibration.
Confirm the matching converter, target geometry, mounting, probe gap, cable protection, environmental limits, and approval conditions before commissioning.
Availability, condition, price, and shipping time for PR6424-003-030 are confirmed during quotation.

- Use a stiff, vibration-free holder with a clean M18×1.5 mounting thread
- After final gap adjustment, leave at least two threads free toward the sensor head
- Tighten the PR6424 fixing nuts to no more than 98 N·m
- Keep the measuring track free from scratches, corrosion, stress concentrations, and metallurgical irregularities that can produce runout
- A measuring-track surface finish of 0.41...0.76 µm is recommended
- A target material other than the reference steel requires verified adjustment of the complete measuring chain
- Temperature error is below 4% per 100 K and is documented as API 670 compliant
- The probe head withstands the documented 10,000 hPa pressure condition
- Shock and vibration testing is specified at 5 g and 60 Hz at 25 °C
- Measure radial or axial shaft displacement without mechanical contact
- Monitor shaft position, eccentricity, vibration, or speed/key behavior with the matching converter
- Apply the probe to turbines, compressors, pumps, or fans after verifying target, gap, mounting, and environmental conditions
