Features:
- Eight isolated normally open relay contacts
- Each channel has an independent common terminal
- Contacts switch AC or DC field loads up to the applicable 4 A rating
IC693MDL930 is used when a PLC output must behave as a dry relay contact instead of a solid-state voltage source.
Channel-to-channel isolation permits different field circuits to be assigned across the eight outputs.
The user supplies load power and external protective components appropriate to each connected device.
The General Electric IC693MDL930 Series 90-30 8-point isolated relay output module may remain available for quotation and installed-system support from Apter Power.

Relay contact operation
- Contact form: All eight outputs are normally open contacts controlled by the PLC.
- Independent returns: A separate common is provided for every relay channel.
- Load types: The contacts can switch qualifying AC or DC circuits.
- Status indication: Front LEDs show the logical command state of the individual outputs.
Current and contact life
- Rated current: A channel may carry up to 4 A within the required load and environmental limits.
- Inrush effects: Motor starters and solenoids can impose a closing current well above their steady-state draw.
- Inductive suppression: External suppression reduces arcing and extends relay-contact service life.
- Switching frequency: Frequent operation shortens mechanical and electrical life compared with occasional switching.
Field-side safeguards
- External fusing: IC693MDL930 does not provide a separate fuse for each output circuit.
- User power: The connected AC or DC source energizes the load through the relay contact.
- Circuit separation: Independent commons should retain the intended spacing and wiring isolation.
- Failure diagnosis: A commanded LED with an inactive load directs testing toward field power, protection, wiring, or the relay contact.
Supported switched loads
- Motor control: Relay contacts can energize starter coils within the allowed current and inrush envelope.
- Solenoid valves: AC or DC valve coils can be switched with suitable suppression.
- Panel indication: Lamps and annunciators can be assigned to isolated output circuits.
- Mixed-voltage panels: Separate commons allow different qualifying field supplies to coexist across the eight channels.
