Features:
- Two independent channels provide either 0–10 VDC or 4–20 mA outputs.
- Twelve-bit conversion supports controlled analog commands from the Series Five CPU.
- Isolation and diagnostic indication aid separation of logic, supply, and field faults.
No range jumper is needed; the assigned data and terminal wiring determine the intended output use. Commissioning should document whether each channel drives a voltage input or current loop.
The current output must see a total load within the documented resistance window. Excess loop resistance can prevent the commanded current from being reached even when PLC data is correct.
External 24 VDC loss or a disconnected terminal assembly can disable analog delivery. Check these hardware conditions before rewriting the control calculation.

Choosing voltage or current delivery
- Voltage command: Use the 0–10 VDC path for compatible high-impedance receivers.
- Current loop: Use 4–20 mA for the documented loop resistance window.
- Independent channels: Configure and prove each output separately.
- Terminal choice: Wire the receiver to the terminals for the selected signal type.
Why a current output may saturate
- Load resistance: Total loop resistance must remain within the supported range.
- Supply condition: External 24 VDC must be present under operating load.
- Polarity: Check the direction of current through the receiving device.
- Field measurement: Compare measured current with the PLC command before recalibration.
Proving the complete analog command path
- Safe state: Place the controlled process in a condition that permits manual testing.
- Test points: Command low, mid, and high values for each channel.
- Two-end check: Measure at both the module and the receiver.
- Scaling record: Document raw counts and engineering-unit behavior.
Separating power, terminal, and load issues
- Diagnostic lamp: Use the module indication as an initial hardware clue.
- Terminal seating: Confirm the removable assembly is fully engaged.
- External power: Measure 24 VDC at the output module.
- Receiver check: Inspect the field device range and input integrity.
