The DS200DCFBG1BNC Power Supply Board is a key component of GE’s Innovation Series drive control systems, delivering reliable control-level power to the drive and 115 V AC power to enclosure fans. It supports motor field circuits (excluding the SCR module) and drives SCR gate pulse generators for precise excitation control.
The board accepts a wide AC input range (38–115 VAC) and 24 VDC input from the CPT, with 2.5 kVac input-to-output isolation to safeguard against electrical interference and ensure operator safety. It features multiple regulated DC power supplies: ±24 VDC (3 A for +24 VDC, 1 A for –24 VDC) derived from full-wave rectified and filtered input, ±15 VDC (0.8 A each, 0.25 A available for external loading) regulated from ±24 VDC, and a +5 VDC 4 A output. These voltages power the drive’s control circuits, armature current feedback systems, and external components, with isolated +5 VDC and ±15 VDC supplies dedicated to feedback circuits for signal integrity. Additionally, the board provides +24 VDC switched power for enclosure fans and 115 VAC (NA) output, supporting auxiliary system operations.
Beyond power conversion, the DS200DCFBG1BNC integrates motor field power circuits (excluding the SCR module) and driver circuits for motor field SCR gate pulse generators, enabling precise control of motor field operations. It also monitors a range of critical signals, including armature currents/voltages (NA), motor field currents (NA), AC line current, and AC line voltage magnitude/phase sequence—providing real-time data to the drive control system for fault detection and performance optimization. A key interface feature is the /PSEN signal, which goes TTL low when the +5 VDC supply is in regulation and high if it drifts out of regulation, triggering a microprocessor reset on the Drive Control Card (SDCC/LDCC) to prevent system damage.
