More Information

Overview Manuals PDIO Compatibility Field-State Monitoring Fault Isolation Product Applications
Board role
  • Provides the simplex field-termination interface for one Mark VIe PDIO discrete input/output pack.
  • Accepts 24 group-isolated contact inputs and provides 12 form-C relay outputs.
  • Supports DIN-rail or cabinet mounting with separate terminal groups for relay and contact-input wiring.

The H2 input circuits are intended for a nominal 24 V DC floating wetting supply. The connected PDIO reads board identification and feedback data so the control system can identify incompatible hardware and field-side faults.

PDIO and option-board compatibility

IS200TDBSH2A is the 24 V DC simplex member of the TDBS family and accepts a single PDIO pack with one or two Ethernet paths to the controllers. It is not the TMR TDBT arrangement, and H4/H6 boards use different contact-wetting ranges.

Relay functions may be extended with WROB, WROF, or WROG option boards. Each option changes power distribution, fuse placement, and feedback behavior, so the installed option-board identity and wiring drawing must be retained during replacement.

Field-state and output feedback

The PDIO monitors contact-input wetting voltage, reads each input state, and receives relay-position feedback from isolated contact pairs. Sequence-of-events reporting can be enabled for individual input transitions and relay commands.

When a WROB, WROF, or WROG option board is installed, fuse-status feedback is also processed according to that board’s circuit arrangement. Service analysis should therefore separate contact excitation, relay command, relay feedback, and option-board fuse indications.

Fault-isolation guidance

A loss of wetting voltage, a contact input that does not respond to the periodic high/low threshold test, or a mismatch between relay command and feedback can each raise a distinct diagnostic. The terminal-board ID device also reports board type, serial number, and revision to the I/O processor.

If multiple inputs fail together, verify the common wetting supply before replacing the board. For a single relay issue, compare the command, relay-position feedback, load condition, and any option-board fuse indication.

Documented Mark VIe use

IS200TDBSH2A is used where a simplex PDIO path must combine field contact inputs and relay outputs on one terminal board. The manual documents nominal 24 V DC wetting for its contact-input section and permits optional relay arrangements for externally powered loads, individually fused relay commons, or fused common power distribution.

The board is suited to replacement in an established Mark VIe cabinet only after the installed PDIO pack, H2 wetting-voltage range, relay option board, terminal schedule, and mounting arrangement have been matched.

Description
In the GE Mark VIe platform, IS200TDBSH2A is the TDBS group-2 terminal board used with documented PDIO discrete I/O pack arrangements. GE nomenclature identifies H as thru-hole component construction, 2 as the bill-of-material group, and A as the major functional revision.

For field discrete I/O, IS200TDBSH2A provides the documented terminal-board interface for IS220PDIOH1A and IS220PDIOH1B certification configurations. The GE EAC component schedule lists 32 V DC and 110 mA DC contact-wetting data for the H2A terminal-board arrangement.

Before replacing IS200TDBSH2A, preserve the complete installed revision code, paired PDIO pack, terminal assignments, connector map, field-circuit schedule, and cabinet drawing. The requested AAA revision belongs in the Revisions module and does not justify a second product page.

FAQS

The following is a list of questions commonly asked by our customers. Please contact us if you have a question about our process that is not answered below.
The replacement label differs from IS200TDBSH2A—what must match before installation?
Confirm the TDBS H2 wetting-voltage group, the complete board revision, the connected PDIO pack, the relay option board, and the cabinet wiring drawing. A similar TDBS mnemonic does not prove field compatibility.
Several contact inputs changed state together after maintenance—where should checks begin?
Check the common wetting supply and JE1 return first. The PDIO raises a wetting-voltage diagnostic when excitation falls below the acceptable level, so a shared supply fault can affect many inputs without a terminal-board failure.
A relay command is present but the field load does not operate—what should be compared?
Compare the controller command, the PDIO output indication, the relay-position feedback, the load circuit, and any option-board fuse indication. This separates a command-path issue from a relay, fuse, wiring, or field-load problem.
How should the confirmed IS200TDBSH2A version be recorded?
Use the complete verified suffix IS200TDBSH2AB and record it as IS200TDBSH2A-B, Series B, Rev B. Keep a label photograph with the service record so the installed revision is not reduced to the H2 family designation.
Which records should be captured before disconnecting the terminal board?
Retain photographs, TB1 and TB2 terminal schedules, conductor labels, wetting-supply details, the connected PDIO identity, option-board identity, active alarms, and the cabinet drawing reference before any wire is moved.
How do WROB, WROF, and WROG affect an IS200TDBSH2A replacement?
WROB provides fused power distribution to selected outputs, WROF adds an individual series fuse to each relay common, and WROG distributes one external source through separately fused outputs. The option board therefore changes wiring, fuse feedback, and replacement checks.
