Features:
- Provides an 11-slot, 19-inch base for a Series Six Plus CPU configuration.
- Accepts 95 to 260 VAC input without field voltage-range jumpers.
- Uses a shallow chassis with an address selector that makes slot 5 available for I/O.
The IC600CP620 keeps the controller, local backplane, power supply, and selected CPU modules together in one serviceable rack.
Its reduced depth is useful when the original cabinet has limited clearance, while the familiar mounting pattern supports a controlled replacement of the earlier deep rack.
The installed logic, memory, communications, and I/O modules still determine the finished controller capability, so the recorded rack build remains the governing reference.

Build the replacement around the recorded rack
- Rack arrangement: The IC600CP620 is a CPU chassis, not a fixed processor combination.
- Memory condition: Compare every installed control, logic, memory, communications, and local I/O module with the original rack drawing before work starts.
- Module position: Reserve the required Series Six Plus control positions first.
- Configuration record: Optional modules should then be placed only where the recorded Series Six Plus rack configuration permits them.
- Slot 5 addressing: Because slot 5 can accept an I/O module on the shallow rack, its seven-segment address setting must be captured and checked against the I/O map rather than copied from an unrelated chassis.
Verify the rack as a powered system
- Grounding: Bring the IC600CP620 into service only after the protective earth, AC conductors, terminal cover, and cabinet disconnect have been inspected.
- Operational effect: The power supply accepts the 95 to 260 VAC input range at 47 to 63 Hz.
- Power-state evidence: A lit POWER indication confirms the internal DC rails are within tolerance, but it does not prove that every installed module is correctly seated or within the available loading.
- Backplane check: Investigate any unstable indicator together with backplane engagement and the complete module set.
- Battery condition: If power is interrupted, the selected memory hardware and battery condition determine whether the saved controller state can be recovered.
- Program context: Preserve the program and record the intended restart mode before the old rack is removed.
Plan cabinet work before removing the original rack
- Cable path: The shallower IC600CP620 reduces chassis depth, but front access, cable bend radius, ventilation, and the wiring trough still need clear space.
- Verification: Confirm rack-mount or panel-mount dimensions against the actual enclosure.
- Safe handling: Label field cables and module positions before disconnecting them.
- Connector condition: Protect connectors from contamination and electrostatic damage, and use the specified extraction tool for the plug-in boards.
- Grounding: After the chassis is secured, reconnect grounding and power first, then install the recorded module set and restore I/O cabling in a controlled sequence.
Prove the complete controller before returning outputs
- Output control: Start with outputs disabled and compare the installed rack against the saved layout, backplane address record, memory checksum, and I/O assignment list.
- Parity response: Use the front indicators to separate power, CPU self-check, memory parity, and I/O-chain faults.
- Operational effect: A system that does not enter RUN should be diagnosed across the rack rather than attributed to the IC600CP620 chassis alone.
- Indicator evidence: Only enable outputs after the logic source, retained values, connected stations, and safe machine state have been independently verified.
- Indicator meaning: Record the final indicator pattern and any setting changed during commissioning.
