- Trusted TMR Expander Processor for the Trusted Expander Chassis
- Provides the interface between the Expander Bus and the Expander Chassis backplane
- HIFT TMR architecture with fault containment, diagnostics, and hot-replacement support
ICS Triplex T8310 is a Trusted TMR Expander Processor installed in the processor slots of a Trusted Expander Chassis.
The module provides the slave interface between the Expander Bus and the chassis backplane. The Expander Bus supports multiple-chassis systems over unshielded twisted-pair connections while retaining the fault-tolerant, high-bandwidth Inter-Module Bus capabilities.
Before replacement, confirm the expander-chassis slot arrangement, companion processor, T8311 Expander Interface modules, bus cabling, firmware, and SYSTEM.INI configuration. The physical module layout must match the configured Trusted system layout.
Availability, condition, price, and shipping time for ICS Triplex T8310 are confirmed during quotation.

- Install T8310 only in the two documented processor positions of the T8300 Trusted Expander Chassis.
- Interconnect the two processor positions with the specified Cable Hood Assembly before commissioning.
- For a local expansion path, connect T8312 to T8310 with the approved TC-301 cable and observe the documented ESD precautions.
- The local path uses TC-301 from the T8312 Expander Interface Adapter Unit to T8310, with a documented maximum copper distance of 30 m.
- The controller-side remote path uses TC-302 from T8312 to the T8314 Fibre TX/RX Unit.
- The remote-chassis path uses TC-303 from T8314 to T8310; the documented fibre expansion distance is up to 10 km.
- T8310 has no module-specific System.INI entry; its existence is assumed for each Expander Chassis defined in the system configuration.
- Identify the active and standby processors and confirm the standby path is healthy before any removal or replacement action.
- Use the three channel Healthy indicators, role indication, Trusted diagnostics and communication error data to distinguish module, cable and interface faults.
- Expansion of Trusted TMR safety and control systems across multiple chassis
- Expander Bus communication between the controller chassis and T8300 Expander Chassis
- Copper or fibre-optic Trusted Expander Bus network configurations
