Features:
- The plug-in module monitors four FieldConnex Power Hub segments online.
- Separate LEDs report primary supply, secondary supply and fault conditions.
- A normally closed contact transfers the diagnostic alarm to an external circuit.
The
HD2-DM-B observes supply-module health and connected trunk conditions without carrying the fieldbus power itself.
Power-supply presence, redundancy mismatch and trunk fault information are condensed into local indications for the assembled Power Hub.
Because no additional engineering is required, monitoring begins from the defined motherboard slot when the diagnostic module is installed.
The Pepperl+Fuchs HD2-DM-B Basic Diagnostic Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Bulk-source supervision
- Primary input: PRI PWR confirms that the first bulk supply reaches the motherboard.
- Secondary input: SEC PWR identifies the redundant bulk source separately.
- Pair check: HD2-DM-B detects mismatched power modules in a redundant arrangement.
- Module health: installed Power Hub modules are included in the operating check.
Separating hub and segment problems
- Overload: excessive segment demand is included in the diagnostic state.
- Short circuit: a trunk short contributes to the red fault indication.
- Four segments: the module covers the trunk paths connected through its Power Hub.
- Downstream boundary: local status narrows the check before individual field devices are investigated.
Exporting the diagnostic state
- Contact type: the alarm interface is a normally closed voltage-free contact.
- External circuit: the contact transfers a hub fault without carrying the fieldbus data path.
- Load boundary: the receiving circuit remains within the stated current and DC-voltage rating.
- Online operation: the local LEDs remain available while the remote contact reports the same fault context.
Motherboard integration
- Plug-in form: HD2-DM-B occupies the diagnostic-module position rather than a power-supply slot.
- No programming: monitoring starts without a separate software configuration.
- Connection set: the motherboard carries alarm, diagnostic-bus and redundant-supply interfaces.
- Cabinet protection: the IP20 module relies on the surrounding approved enclosure and system assembly.
