Features:
- The DTI board accepts electrically isolated HTL or TTL digital tachometer signals.
- Dedicated terminal strips separate encoder input, drive output, external supply, and screen grounding.
- The 3DB1 version extends the X403.6 output range for the documented Compact PLUS connection.
Siemens 6SE7090-0XX84-3DB1 converts the selected tachometer pulse tracks into the feedback path expected by MASTERDRIVES.
Only one encoder input strip on 6SE7090-0XX84-3DB1 is populated for the installed HTL or TTL signal type.
Start-up checks on 6SE7090-0XX84-3DB1 align terminal choice, pulse count, drive parameters, screening, and rotation feedback.
The Siemens 6SE7090-0XX84-3DB1 SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES Digital Tacho Interface Board may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

HTL and TTL Feedback Paths
- TTL path: X401 receives the 5 V tachometer signals and their required inverse tracks.
- HTL path: X402 receives the 11 to 30 V tachometer signals and assigned reference connections.
- Input choice: Only one of X401 or X402 is used for the installed tachometer.
- Unused inverse tracks: Unused HTL inverse inputs are tied to the documented tachometer reference potential.
Feedback Transfer to MASTERDRIVES
- X403 role: The board sends the selected pulse tracks toward CU2, CUVC, CUVP, or TSY.
- X405 role: The separate connector provides the documented TTL output tracks.
- 3DB1 extension: The wider X403.6 voltage range supports the Compact PLUS connection.
- Direction check: Pulse-track order and feedback direction are verified before torque-producing operation.
Supply, Screening and Cable Routing
- External feed: X404 accepts the isolated 24 V DC installation supply.
- Encoder feed: X404 can provide the documented higher-voltage supply for an HTL tachometer.
- Screen bonds: X80 and X81 connect the cable screens to the grounding points.
- Cable separation: Power and control cables are routed separately to reduce feedback interference.
Checks Before Closed-Loop Operation
- Board combination: The installed TSY, CU2, CUVC, or CUVP path must match the drive configuration.
- Tachometer type: The encoder voltage level determines whether X401 or X402 is used.
- Drive parameters: Source selection and encoder pulse count are set in the corresponding MASTERDRIVES parameter group.
- Safe test: Feedback direction and stability are checked before the drive is released for normal operation.
