Features:
- Sixteen 24 V DC outputs are paired across eight M12 sockets.
- Each output switches up to 0.5 A, with 4 A allowed across the module up to +55 °C.
- PROFIBUS diagnostics, green channel LEDs and a red SF display separate output and module states.
Siemens 6ES7142-3BH00-0XA0 converts PROFIBUS DP process data into sixteen field switching signals for solenoids, DC contactors or indicator lamps.
Two channels share each M12 connector, aligning their signal pins with the same 2M and protective-earth references.
The separately ordered connection block completes bus and load-power entry while the I/O module provides the channel electronics and indication.
The Siemens 6ES7142-3BH00-0XA0 ET 200eco output module may remain available for quotation, documentation and connection-block review after OEM cancellation.

Paired M12 Channel Layout
- Sockets X1 to X4: Each connector carries one channel from the lower group and one from channels 8 to 11.
- Sockets X5 to X8: The remaining connectors pair channels 4 to 7 with channels 12 to 15.
- Signal pins: Pins 2 and 4 carry the two output signals assigned to each socket.
- Reference pins: Pin 3 is 2M and pin 5 is PE across all eight connectors.
Current Flow to Field Loads
- Load voltage: The output stage switches the 24 V DC load supply toward the commanded device.
- Per-channel limit: Each channel is rated for 0.5 A at the active output state.
- Module limit: Combined output current must remain within 4 A up to +55 °C.
- Shared potential: The output channels are not isolated from one another inside the module.
Bus Data and Output Update
- Bus entry: The ET 200eco connection block passes PROFIBUS DP data to the I/O electronics.
- Rate range: The module follows station transmission rates from 9.6 kbit/s to 12 Mbit/s.
- Output image: Received process bits drive the corresponding sixteen output stages.
- Electrical boundary: PROFIBUS remains isolated from the internal output circuitry.
Channel, Group and Station Checks
- Point state: A green LED shows the command state of each individual output.
- Group condition: The red SF indicator marks a module-level fault.
- Controller detail: Readable diagnostics provide the fault information over PROFIBUS.
- Alarm boundary: The module reports diagnostics but does not issue process alarms.
