Features:
- Four isolated channels accept Pt100, Ni100 or resistance measurements.
- The electronics module plugs onto an ET 200iSP terminal module that carries the field wiring.
- Selectable 50 Hz or 60 Hz suppression aligns conversion with the local interference source.
Sensor current produces the resistance value that the module converts for the station backplane.
Channel isolation prevents one measuring circuit from sharing its signal reference with another.
Hazardous-area approval depends on keeping intrinsically safe wiring inside the documented separation rules.
The Siemens 6ES7134-7SD51-0AB0 ET 200iSP Analog Input Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Relating each sensor to its measurement channel
- RTD choices: Pt100 and Ni100 elements use their assigned resistance-temperature characteristic.
- Resistance mode: A passive resistance can be measured without being interpreted as an RTD temperature.
- Measuring current: The module drives the selected circuit with its constant measurement current.
- Channel result: Each converted value is transferred independently to the ET 200iSP backplane.
Maintaining intrinsically safe wiring boundaries
- Module location: The electronics module is approved for the documented Zone 1 installation category.
- Sensor category: Field sensors must carry the category required for their Zone 0, 1, 2, 20, 21 or 22 location.
- Circuit routing: Each intrinsically safe path is routed separately from non-intrinsically safe conductors.
- Ground clearance: Required spacing from grounded parts remains part of the field installation.
Joining electronics and field connections
- Terminal choice: The module operates on the specified TM-IM/EM or TM-EM/EM base.
- Field side: Sensor conductors terminate on the base rather than directly on the replaceable electronics.
- Backplane side: Converted values and diagnostics pass from the module into the station bus.
- Replacement boundary: The terminal wiring can remain in place while the matching electronics module is handled separately.
Separating channel faults from module conditions
- Channel status: A channel diagnostic points to the affected measurement circuit.
- Module status: Module diagnostics cover conditions shared by the electronics assembly.
- Frequency filter: The selected 50 Hz or 60 Hz suppression changes how periodic mains interference is rejected.
- Commissioning check: Sensor type, resistance range and filter setting must agree with the configured channel parameters.
