Features:
- Single hot swapping is supported during operation.
- The interface supports PROFIenergy services.
- Prioritized startup is available on PROFINET.
PROFINET IO device operation and Open IE communication are both available on 6AG1155-6AU01-7BN0. Ethernet services and cyclic I/O communication therefore belong to the same interface module rather than separate product variants.
For 6AG1155-6AU01-7BN0, the potential difference permitted between different circuits is safety extra-low voltage (SELV). This electrical requirement is separate from the product's environmental classifications.
An environmental product declaration is available for 6AG1155-6AU01-7BN0. Its environmental assessment distinguishes production, operation and end-of-life contributions.
The Siemens 6AG1155-6AU01-7BN0 SIPLUS ET 200SP PROFINET Interface Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

How the network connection is arranged
- Adapter choice: The single BusAdapter slot accepts BA 2x RJ45 or BA 2x FC, so the network connection uses the adapter arrangement selected for the station.
- Port arrangement: The two network ports belong to one PROFINET interface with an integrated switch; they are not two independent PROFINET interfaces.
- Link setup: Autonegotiation and autocrossing are available at the Ethernet connection.
- Ethernet services: TCP/IP, SNMP and LLDP are supported alongside PROFINET IO communication.
Separate module indications from port activity
- Operating state: The RUN and ERROR indicators are on the interface module and provide separate indications for running and error status.
- Maintenance indication: MAINT is a dedicated yellow indicator, separate from the green PWR indication for supply monitoring.
- Port activity: The two LINK TX/RX indications are located on the BusAdapter, placing connection activity at the network ports.
- Identification records: I&M0 through I&M3 identification and maintenance data are supported in addition to alarms and diagnostics.
Apply the temperature limit to the mounting position
- Orientation: Horizontal and vertical installation have different upper operating-temperature limits; the horizontal rating must not be carried over to a vertical installation.
- Elevation: Above 2,000 m, the permitted maximum ambient temperature is reduced; a further reduction applies above 3,500 m.
- Moisture conditions: The condensation and frost rating is associated with horizontal installation, not every mounting orientation.
- Mechanical qualification: The industrial 3M8 and marine 6M4 mechanical classifications require the SIPLUS Mounting Kit ET 200SP 6AG1193-6AA00-0AA0.
Environmental classifications for the installation setting
- Stationary industry: The stationary-industrial classifications address biological, chemical, particulate and mechanical exposure separately rather than assigning one unrestricted environmental rating.
- Ships and sea: Marine classifications cover mold and fungal spores, chemical exposure and sand or dust; fauna is excluded from the biological classification.
- Process systems: The process-technology chemical classifications exclude trichloroethylene, including the ANSI/ISA-71.04 GX group A/B classification.
- Unused interfaces: The supplied plug covers must remain over unused interfaces during operation for the marked chemical and particulate classifications.
