Features:
- Combines sixteen isolated field-status inputs with sixteen isolated transistor outputs.
- Supports standard status output, pulse-width and time-proportional output operation.
- Uses a KS2 cable to connect the ST2-compatible module to matching terminal hardware.
Yokogawa ADV859-P00 S1 places input monitoring and output switching in one isolated I/O assembly.
Contact or voltage conditions enter the input side, while transistor contacts drive separate DC field loads.
The -P00 suffix defines pulse-capable output functions and the basic hardware type; S1 identifies the installed style.
The Yokogawa ADV859-P00 S1 ST2-Compatible Digital I/O Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Contact and Voltage State Evaluation
- Signal Types: Each channel evaluates either a contact-resistance state or a voltage-input state.
- State Thresholds: Open and closed conditions use separate thresholds before a status reaches the system.
- Input Isolation: The sixteen input paths remain electrically isolated from one another.
Isolated Transistor Load Switching
- Load Switching: Sixteen transistor contacts switch resistive or inductive 30 V DC loads.
- Relay Suppression: A spark-killer diode is required across a DC relay coil driven by an output.
- Output Isolation: Isolated output channels keep separate field-load circuits from sharing signal paths.
Paired-Terminal Pulse Functions
- Terminal Pairs: Pulse-width output uses two contiguous terminal numbers beginning with an odd number.
- Function Mixing: Time-proportional outputs can be mixed with pulse-width pairs under the documented terminal rules.
- Timing Resolution: Programmed pulse duration is built in 8 ms increments with the output switching delay added.
KS2 Cable and Terminal Hardware
- Dedicated Cable: The KS2 dedicated cable carries input and output channels to the terminal hardware.
- Terminal Boards: MUB, U2B, EUB, MRI and MRO boards provide the documented ST2 field terminations.
- Direct Connection: The cable can connect directly to the module without an intermediate pressure-clamp adapter.
