Features:
- Provides high-availability with redundant power and ESB bus interfaces.
- Accommodates up to 8 I/O modules per node unit.
- Supports 100-120V AC, 220-240V AC, and 24V DC inputs.
The ANB10D-S1 is designed with dual-redundant power supply (two PW481/PW482/PW484 modules) and dual ESB bus interface (two SB401 slave modules). This redundancy ensures that if one power supply or communication path fails, the other continues operating without interruption, eliminating single points of failure. The ANB10D-S1 is critical for continuous process control applications where downtime is costly. The node unit supports installation in AFV30D, AFV40D, AFV50D, and AFV70D duplexed field control units, providing flexible deployment options for Yokogawa CENTUM VP DCS systems.
The ANB10D-S1 accommodates up to 8 I/O modules per node unit, enabling efficient use of cabinet space. The node unit supports connection of up to 13 node units per FCU (for AFV30/AFV40) or 8 node units (for A2FV50/A2FV70), providing scalability for systems ranging from small to large process control applications. This high-density design reduces cabinet footprint and installation costs.
The ANB10D-S1 supports three power supply options: 100-120V AC (200 VA), 220-240V AC (230 VA), and 24V DC (5.5A), ensuring compatibility with diverse power infrastructures. The ANB10D-S1 provides suffix codes for ISA Standard G3 and temperature range (-20°C to 70°C), making it suitable for harsh industrial environments. When mounting FIO modules with built-in barriers, the ANB10D-S1 requires insulating partition (Part No. T9083NA) placed in the 8th slot. The node unit also offers option codes for connector units (CU2N, CU2T) and explosion protection manual (ATDOC) for ATEX/IECEx compliance.
The ANB10D-S1 YOKOGAWA ESB Bus Node Unit may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond
End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- DCS I/O Expansion: Primarily used to house up to 8 Field Input/Output (FIO) modules, expanding the processing density of a single FCU node.
- Continuous Process Management: Deployed across process industries like Petrochemical Refineries, LNG Terminals, and Heavy Chemical Plants where thousands of remote analog/digital instruments must be aggregated without signal latency.
- Critical Loop Control: Ideal for power-plant turbine controls, boiler systems, and pharmaceutical batching facilities requiring redundant sub-rack configurations to guarantee continuous process availability.
- Standard Operation: 0 °C to +60 °C.
- Extended Range Option: -20 °C to +70 °C (available when specified with code options like suffix 6/F).
- Ambient Humidity: 5% to 95% RH (non-condensing).
- Atmospheric Corrosiveness Protection: Can be ordered with an ISA Standard G3 conformal coating option to resist harsh chemical gases (such as hydrogen sulfide or sulfur dioxide) in paper mills or chemical plants.
- Dual-Redundant ESB Bus Monitoring: The unit utilizes two SB401 Bus Interface Slave Modules connected to the FCU's master modules. The CENTUM VP system actively monitors the health of both Bus Line A and Line B. If an ESB cable is severed, the system flags a diagnostic alarm on the Human Interface Station (HIS) while traffic routes through the secondary line.
- Dual-Redundant Power Supply Supervision: It houses two integrated power modules (e.g., PW481 or PW482) operating in a load-sharing architecture. The system continuously monitors the status of each power supply line. A complete power failure on one module generates a system alarm notification instantly, allowing online, live maintenance replacement (hot-swapping)
- I/O Module Self-Diagnostics: The node handles internal serial communications with its mounted I/O modules. If an analog input module encounters an internal error or an open-circuit field wire, the ANB10D passes specific error codes upstream to the diagnostic panel.
