Features:
- Accepts two configurable flame-sensor input channels.
- Provides three changeover relays and two isolated 4–20 mA outputs.
- Supports dual isolated RS-485 communication for burner monitoring.
The current ordering configuration is
FAU810 / C10-12010, the FAU810 Flame Analysis Unit C10-12010 documented for ABB Uvisor Flame Scanner.
In the intended system role, it provides three Form C relays, two isolated 4–20 mA outputs and dual isolated RS-485 ports. Modbus is the default serial protocol, with Profibus DP-V1 available by configuration.
For selection and commissioning, verify detector type, channel programming, flame thresholds, relay cause-and-effect and boiler trip logic before replacement. Perform a witnessed flame-on and flame-off test before returning the burner to service.
Availability is subject to Apter Power inventory and sourcing confirmation.

- Supervises burner flame presence in industrial combustion systems, for its documented operating duty.
- Sends individual channel intensity to plant control through isolated analog outputs, through the intended receiving-system interface.
- Operates flame-status relays used by a validated burner-management sequence, in the configured and commissioned installation.
- Two sensor channels can be evaluated independently for flame status, within the documented monitoring function.
- Isolated analog outputs report configured flame-intensity values to the control system, for the configured channel or system display.
- Three changeover relays provide assigned status or trip contacts, during commissioning and routine operation.
- Flame Explorer supports setup of sensor type, gain, thresholds and timing, through the documented engineering or controller workflow.
- Each channel must be tuned using the installed burner and viewing geometry, for the installed channel or external device.
- Saved configuration records support controlled restoration after replacement, before the restored configuration is returned to service.
- The flame-off response must be proven with the burner secured before normal operation, before normal operation is permitted.
- Relay assignments require validation against the burner-management cause-and-effect matrix, within a correctly protected installation.
- Only trained personnel should alter thresholds, delays or fail-safe behavior, throughout configuration and maintenance work.
