Features:
- Interface Between the 24V DC Control System and Field Output Devices
- Combines Capability of High-Density Digital Output Switching with Solid-State Reliability
- Operates in Conjunction with MicroLogix 1500, CompactLogix Controllers and 1769 Series Adapters
The Allen-Bradley 1769-OV32T/A operates as a DC digital output module within the 1769 Compact I/O system, providing reliable switched outputs for industrial control applications. It continuously processes control signals from the controller and delivers solid-state switching capability across 32 terminated outputs arranged in two groups of 16. Seamless integration is standard with the 1769-OV32T/A, and its compact form factor allows high-density I/O configuration within limited panel space. The 1769-OV32T/A has made improvements in several areas over previous output module designs in addition to incorporating terminated output wiring capability within the 1769 series.
The 1769-OV32T/A provides essential output functions common to the entire control system, and is a critical component of the control path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of field devices and actuators. One or multiple 1769-OV32T/A modules are required per system depending on the desired output point density. The 1769-OV32T/A occupies a single slot in the 1769 Compact I/O chassis and connects via tongue-and-groove connectors for easy mounting on panel or DIN rail.
For expanded I/O applications, the 1769 system requires additional 1769-OV32T/A modules installed in adjacent slots. In addition to standard single module operation, the modular configuration also performs seamless expansion. The 1769 series I/O system executes communication using the internal bus specified in the controller options. Using this method, the control system continually monitors the status of all outputs. If the system detects that a specific output channel requires activation based on programmed logic, it will automatically energize the corresponding field device and update the status in the controller data table.
The 1769-OV32T/A Allen-Bradley Compact I/O Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
