Features:
- Interface Between the Redundant Power Supply and 1756-PCSA2 Chassis Adapter
- Combines Capability of Straight Connector Design with Redundant Power Cable Functionality
- Operates in Conjunction with the ControlLogix System and Standard I/O Modules
The Allen-Bradley 1756-CPR2 Redundant Power Supply Power Cable serves as the dedicated power connection in a ControlLogix chassis, providing reliable DC power transfer between redundant power supplies and the 1756-PCSA2 chassis adapter. It continuously maintains electrical connectivity across its 0.91-meter length with straight connector terminations, ensuring stable power distribution to support steady state operation of all controllers and I/O modules within the rack. Seamless power continuity is standard with the 1756-CPR2, however using it within a Redundant Power Configuration will allow seamless switchover to a backup supply in the event of a primary power failure.
The 1756-CPR2 provides essential connectivity functions common to the entire redundant power path, and is a critical component of the power distribution system, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall ControlLogix system. One or two 1756-CPR2 cables may be utilized per chassis depending on the desired redundancy level. The 1756-CPR2 occupies a dedicated connection point between the redundant power supply and the 1756-PCSA2 adapter, always positioned to ensure optimal signal integrity and minimal voltage drop.
For Dual Redundant Power applications, the ControlLogix System requires the 1756-CPR2 power cable installed between the redundant power supply and the 1756-PCSA2 chassis adapter. In addition to standard single supply operation, the redundant configuration also performs automatic switchover. The 1756-CPR2 dual power configuration executes failover in conjunction with the internal circuitry specified in the redundant power supply options.
The 1756-CPR2 Allen-Bradley Redundant Power Supply Power Cable may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Allen-Bradley 1756-CPR2 Redundant Power Supply Power Cable Specs
General
- Manufacturer Allen-Bradley
- Model 1756-CPR2
- Condition New Original ready stock
- Product Family 1756-CPR2D,1756-CPR2U
Important Notice: Other accessories, manuals, cables, calibration data, software, etc. are not included with this equipment unless listed in the above stock item description. All prices are shown in USD.
- Redundant Power Integration: The cable is used to connect a ControlLogix redundant power supply, such as the 1756-PA75R or 1756-PB75R, directly to a 1756-PSCA2 chassis adapter.
- Seamless Power Switchover: It enables dual power supplies to share the load. If one supply loses incoming power or experiences an internal fault, the cable configuration ensures the second supply maintains the system without interrupting the CPU or I/O modules.
- Mission-Critical Applications: It is deployed in continuous-process industries where an unexpected system shutdown would result in significant financial loss, safety hazards, or equipment damage, such as in oil and gas refining, water treatment, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- c-UL-us Listing: Certified to meet both United States and Canadian safety standards under UL file requirements for industrial control equipment.
- CE Mark: Complies with all applicable European Union directives, including the Low Voltage Directive and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) standards.
- RCM / C-Tick: Registered for compliance with Australian and New Zealand radiocommunications and electromagnetic emission requirements.
- RoHS and REACH: Constructed using materials that restrict the use of hazardous substances, aligning with modern environmental sustainability standards.
