Features:
- The low-frequency response reaches 1.5 Hz within the wider ±3.0 dB band.
- A 316L stainless-steel body houses the sensor, connector, and isolated electronics.
- Option 09 supplies a plate stud that changes from 3/8-24 at the transducer to 1/4-inch NPT at the machine.
The Velomitor CT design follows the vibration generated by the fan, motor, and speed reducer rather than measuring rotational speed directly.
Its internal conditioning produces a velocity-proportional signal with a 10.1 V DC nominal bias for the connected monitoring channel.
The sensor body can be mounted in any orientation, while the mounting surface and stud must transmit casing motion without looseness.
The Bently Nevada 190501-09-00-04 Velomitor CT Velocity Transducer may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Velocity Signal Characteristics
- Sensitivity path: Casing velocity is converted at 3.94 mV/mm/s with a ±5% tolerance.
- Bias reference: The monitoring loop sees a nominal 10.1 V DC output bias between pins A and B.
- Directional polarity: Pin A becomes positive relative to pin B for motion from the base toward the sensor top.
- Cable reach: Approved field cable can extend to 305 m without specified signal degradation.
Mechanical Coupling to the Machine
- Machine thread: The option 09 plate stud terminates in a 1/4-inch NPT connection.
- Sensor thread: The transducer side of the plate stud uses a 3/8-24 interface.
- Torque control: The documented transducer mounting torque is 4.5 N-m with a ±0.6 N-m tolerance.
- Measurement surface: The mounting point belongs on the bearing housing or machine casing that carries rotor vibration.
Temperature and Exposure Boundaries
- Operating range: The transducer operates from -40 to +85 deg C.
- Storage range: The unpowered storage boundary extends from -40 to +100 deg C.
- Humidity: The housing is rated for 100% condensing humidity but not submersion.
- Shock limit: The documented maximum shock is 5,000 g peak.
Selected Connection and Certification Codes
- Code 04: The final suffix selects the documented agency-approval group.
- Division marking: The approval group includes CSA/NRTL/C coverage for Class I, Division 1.
- Zone marking: ATEX, IECEx, and CSA entries cover the documented Class I Zone 0/1 configurations.
- Electrical interface: Connection option 00 retains the MIL-C-5015 interface rather than the integral-cable option.
