Features:
- Interface Between the 3300 XL Probe and Monitor System
- Combines Capability of Signal Extension with FluidLoc Cable Protection
- Operates in Conjunction with the 3300 XL 8 mm Probes and Proximitor Sensors
The 330130-045-12-05 operates as the 3300 XL Standard Extension Cable in a machinery protection system, providing reliable signal transmission between the probe and monitor. It continuously extends the electrical connection across a cable length of 4.5 meters (14.8 feet) and transmits the modulated signal through the FluidLoc cable with connector protector to support steady state operation of all proximity probes and monitoring modules. Seamless signal integrity is standard with the 330130-045-12-05, however using the optional FluidLoc cable option will prevent oil and other liquids from leaking out of the machine through the cable's interior in the event of harsh environmental exposure. The 330130-045-12-05 has made improvements in several areas over previous extension cable designs in addition to incorporating CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approvals within the 3300 XL system.
The 330130-045-12-05 provides essential extension functions common to the entire monitoring path, and is a critical component of the measurement chain, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall vibration monitoring system. One 330130-045-12-05 extension cable is required per probe installation depending on the desired cable routing distance. The 330130-045-12-05 occupies a flexible installation position in the system and is always located between the 3300 XL probe and the Proximitor Sensor.
For FluidLoc cable protection applications, the 3300 XL System requires the 330130-045-12-05 extension cable with the connector protector option installed. In addition to standard signal extension operation, the FluidLoc configuration also performs contamination prevention. The 330130-045-12-05 FluidLoc cable design executes protection using the patented CableLoc design specified in the cable options. Using this method, the 330130-045-12-05 continually maintains 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength to more securely attach the probe cable and probe tip. If the system detects that oil or other liquids are present in the machine environment, the 330130-045-12-05 will prevent fluid migration through the cable interior and maintain signal integrity while the patented TipLoc molding method provides a more robust bond between the probe tip and the probe body.
The 330130-045-12-05 Bently Nevada 3300 XL Standard Extension Cable may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
