Features:
- Receives External High-Voltage DC Power And Feeds Internal Modules
- Supports Primary And Backup Power Supply Configurations
- Ensures Continuous Rack Operation During Module Replacement
The Bently Nevada 115M7750-01 High Voltage DC PIM is designed to interface external high-voltage DC sources with the 3500/15 series mechanical protection system. Installed on the left rear side of the 3500 rack, it safely channels incoming DC power to the internal power modules for system distribution.
This module works in conjunction with the 3500/15 AC and DC power supplies, which can be installed in one or two slots on the left side of the rack. When two modules are present, one serves as the primary supply while the other functions as a backup, allowing the system to maintain full rack operation without interruption.
The 115M7750-01 provides flexible power handling by accepting a wide range of DC input voltages and converting them for use by other 3500 modules. Its integration ensures that critical monitoring and protection systems receive stable and reliable power under all operating conditions, supporting both AC and DC supply configurations within the rack.
The 115M7750-01 Bently Nevada High Voltage DC PIM may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Wide Voltage Adaptability: Supports high-voltage DC input from 88 to 140 Vdc, capable of stably coping with voltage fluctuations in industrial power grids.
- Redundancy Switching Support: Supports hot standby redundancy when used with a dual-power rack. When the main power input fails, the system can seamlessly switch to the backup power supply, ensuring uninterrupted monitoring.
- High-Efficiency Filtering: Built-in electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression circuit effectively prevents external power grid noise from entering the 3500 monitoring system, ensuring the accuracy of signal measurement.
- Hot-Swap Capability: Supports module maintenance and replacement while the system is powered on (subject to safe operating procedures), reducing downtime risks.
- Wide Temperature Range: Standard operating temperature range is -30°C to +65°C (-22°F to +149°F), suitable for various harsh industrial environments.
- High Humidity Tolerance: Can withstand up to 95% non-condensing relative humidity at temperatures up to +45°C.
- Vibration and Shock Resistance: Designed to meet industrial-grade vibration resistance standards (5g peak acceleration), allowing installation in control cabinets adjacent to large rotating machinery.
- Power Generation: Widely used in steam turbine generator sets, utilizing reliable 110V/125V DC battery banks within the power plant as backup or main power to prevent protection failure due to AC grid flashover.
- Oil & Gas Extraction and Refining: In compressor stations or offshore platforms in remote areas, connected to DC power distribution systems to provide continuous power for critical axial displacement and vibration monitoring.
- Critical Protection: Used in automatic interlocking shutdown systems that must comply with API 670 standards, serving as the power backup at the very beginning of the entire protection chain.
