Features:
- Dedicated Data Manager Module Enables Communication With 3500 Rack Systems.
- Supports Proprietary Protocol For Configuring Racks And Retrieving Machinery Information.
- Compact Half-Height Design Fits Seamlessly Into 3500 Frame Slot For Reliable Installation.
The Bently Nevada 125760-01 Data Manager I/O Module acts as a dedicated interface for the 3500/20 system, providing a secure connection point for transmitting both static and dynamic machinery data to external communication processors or host software. Installed on the back of the rack, it allows operators to access critical mechanical performance metrics while maintaining stable electrical and mechanical connections through built-in internal terminations.
This module operates within an industrial temperature range of 0°C to +50°C (+32°F to +122°F) and can be stored from -40°C to +85°C (-40°F to +185°F), tolerating high humidity up to 95% non-condensing. The short cable design, up to 3 meters (10 feet), ensures reliable local connectivity for the 3500/20 frame while simplifying field wiring and maintenance tasks.
When installed, the 125760-01 works in conjunction with the Rack Interface Module (RIM), which resides in slot 1 of the 3500 rack. While the RIM handles general rack configuration and communication protocol management, the 125760-01 focuses on providing the dedicated data bridge from the 3500/20 Data Manager, enabling continuous access to machinery information for analysis and monitoring without interfering with critical system operation.
The 125760-01 Bently Nevada Data Manager I/O Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Dynamic Data Acquisition and Transmission: This module was the core channel for transmitting dynamic waveform signals (such as vibration waveforms and spectra) in early versions of the 3500 system, primarily used to connect to dedicated communication processors or computers.
- Predictive Maintenance (PDM) System Access: This interface uploads real-time operating data of the unit to System 1 or earlier DDI software, helping engineers identify early signs of faults such as bearing wear and rotor imbalance.
- Monitoring of Large and Medium-Sized Rotating Machinery: Widely used in steam turbines, generators, and large pump sets, serving as a key physical interface for obtaining the "health records" of rotating machinery.
- Offline Analysis Data Export: When equipment malfunctions, high-resolution data exported through this module allows for in-depth analysis using Bode plots, polar plots, and orbit plots.
- Module Self-Check and Status Feedback: 125760-01 monitors the operating status of the 3500/20 main module in real time. In the event of a communication link or hardware failure, an alarm will be issued via an OK LED and system log.
- Write Protection Mechanism: Equipped with hardware write protection terminals. By shorting specific terminals, the frame configuration can be locked to prevent unauthorized remote modification of mechanical protection settings.
- Event Sequence Recording (SOE): Supports the extraction of alarm and trip events with precise timestamps from the frame, providing reliable evidence for root cause analysis after an incident.
- Communication Conflict Mitigation: Built-in dedicated circuitry handles large volumes of dynamic data streams, ensuring that the basic mechanical protection logic of the 3500 frame is not interfered with during the transmission of large amounts of diagnostic data.
- Migration to 3500/22 RIM: As the 3500/20 and its accompanying 125760-01 are gradually becoming obsolete, the current standard practice is to upgrade to the 3500/22 Frame Interface Module (RIM), which integrates data management and frame interface functions.
- Firmware Update Notes: When replacing or upgrading the 125760-01 spare part, ensure that its corresponding 3500/20 main module firmware version is compatible; otherwise, communication interruption or data packet loss may occur.
- Communication Protocol Modernization: During the upgrade process, the original dedicated communication cable is usually replaced with a standard Ethernet physical link to improve data transmission rate and ease of remote access.
- Software Environment Adaptation: Upgrading this module often involves synchronous updates to the host computer software (such as migrating from the earlier Data Manager software to the latest System 1 version) to utilize more powerful data analysis algorithms.
