Features:
- Displays 3500 rack, monitor and channel information
- Uses a reflective non-backlit 640 × 200 LCD
- Connects to a slot-15 Display Interface Module
Bently Nevada 3500/93 135785-01 is the operator-display portion of the 3500/93 arrangement, not the interface or I/O module.
The display presents measurements, system events, alarm states and Keyphasor or tachometer information received through its RS-422 connection.
Because 135785-01 is non-backlit, the viewing environment and the correct display database are both part of a successful installation.
The Bently Nevada 3500/93 135785-01 Non-Backlit System Display Unit may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

From monitoring rack to the display
- Rack measurements: Monitor and channel values remain generated by the 3500 rack rather than by the display.
- Interface module: The Display Interface Module gathers the rack information required by 3500/93.
- Serial link: A proprietary RS-422 path carries the data between the interface hardware and Display Unit.
- Display database: Rack Configuration Software defines the pages and points presented to the operator.
Separating rack condition from display condition
- Unit OK: The display-unit health indication concerns the local display hardware and link.
- Rack OK: Rack status reflects the health information received from the monitoring system.
- Alarm LEDs: Channel Alert and Danger indications show the alarm state transmitted from the rack.
- New Alarm: The New Alarm indication remains associated with an event that has not yet been acknowledged.
Installation layout determines the required hardware
- Rack face: A hinged full-front arrangement supports installation directly on a full-size 3500 rack.
- Panel position: Panel mounting uses the documented cutout and interface-hardware arrangement.
- Independent mount: A separately located display needs the specified enclosure, cable and power provisions.
- Rack limitation: The 3500 Mini-Rack does not provide the required 3500/93 display-interface arrangement.
Distance changes the power and cable arrangement
- Normal run: Standard rack-face or nearby installations use the specified RS-422 display cable.
- Long run: Distances beyond 100 ft require the documented external-power and cable-adapter combination.
- Grounding path: Cable routing and enclosure grounding must follow the selected mounting configuration.
- Commissioning check: Verify display communication and page data before treating a blank screen as an LCD fault.
