Features:
- Two 12-bit analog current outputs
- Jumper selection for 0–20 mA or 4–20 mA operation
- Hold-last-state or default-state response can be selected
IC693ALG391 translates PLC output words into a pair of continuous current commands.
Hardware settings define both the output span and the behavior expected when CPU control is interrupted.
The isolated field stage can be wired with an external supply where the chosen installation arrangement calls for it.
The General Electric IC693ALG391 Series 90-30 2-channel analog current output module may remain available for quotation and installed-system support from Apter Power.

Current-command behavior
- Channel count: Two independent analog commands are generated from the PLC output data.
- Selectable span: Jumpers establish 0–20 mA or 4–20 mA operation.
- Resolution: Each channel uses 12-bit digital-to-analog conversion.
- Refresh: Outputs are updated every PLC sweep, typically in about 5 ms.
Response to control loss
- Hold option: A jumper can retain the last commanded value when CPU service is lost.
- Default option: The alternative setting moves the channel to its assigned default behavior.
- Process consequence: The correct choice depends on the safe response of the connected valve, drive, or actuator.
- Replacement check: Fallback jumpers must be copied from the installed module before exchange.
Field-side integration
- Shielded pair: Twisted shielded cable carries each analog output to the field device.
- External supply: The applicable wiring arrangement can use an external field source.
- Voltage option: A jumper configuration permits the supported voltage-source use.
- Optical barrier: The analog output section is optically separated from the logic backplane.
Supported control outputs
- Valve positioning: Current commands can drive compatible positioners for modulating process flow.
- Drive references: Analog speed or torque references can be sent to qualifying motor drives.
- Actuator commands: Two loop-controlled actuators can receive independent PLC setpoints.
- Recorder signals: A current output can retransmit a calculated process value to recording or indicating equipment.
