Features:
- 35-60 VDC input.
- 90 W combined output.
- +5 V and ±12 V rails.
35-60 VDC input establishes the principal capability of
IC697PWR748 within its Series 90-70 function.
The relationship between 90 W combined output and +5 V and ±12 V rails determines how the module fits the surrounding rack, network, or field circuit.
During service, optional two-rack operation must remain consistent with the saved application and the installed hardware.

Supply conditions at the line terminals
- Operating range: IC697PWR748 accepts input from 35 to 60 VDC.
- Nominal demand: The 48 V source is selected for the supply's 3.5 A input rating.
- Power interruption: Full-load operation continues through a 10 ms loss of input power.
- Wiring preparation: Correct polarity and terminal torque are established before the rack switch is turned on.
Three rails delivered to the backplane
- Logic output: Up to 18 A is available on the +5 VDC rail.
- Positive auxiliary: The +12 VDC rail supplies as much as 1.5 A.
- Negative auxiliary: The -12 VDC output is rated at 1 A.
- Total capacity: All connected loads together remain below the 90 W combined rating.
Powering a second Series 90-70 rack
- Primary connection: The supply mates with the 48-pin connector in the first rack's leftmost position.
- Second-rack cable: A prewired IC697CBL700 provides the permitted interconnection.
- Shared limits: Current drawn by both racks is added separately for each voltage rail.
- Configuration choice: A second rack is omitted whenever any rail or the aggregate 90 W budget would be exceeded.
Handling overload and overvoltage events
- Current limiting: Electronic protection guards the +5 V bus during a short circuit or overload.
- Voltage fault: The module responds to output overvoltage before normal rack operation resumes.
- Fuse rating: Input protection uses the specified 5 A, 250 V replacement fuse.
- Safe service: Potential field voltage at neighboring terminal boards is treated as live until separately isolated.
