Features:
- Provides six current-source analog outputs in one Genius I/O block.
- Supports 4–20 mA on every output and voltage use on outputs five and six.
- Reports underrange, overrange, and feedback errors by channel.
General Electric IC660BBA105 combines bus communication, loop power, conversion, and diagnostics inside a field-mounted block.
Output scaling and feedback checks are configured through Genius I/O rather than adjusted as separate external circuits.
The block's supply is isolated from the bus logic, separating the field-output path from controller communication.
The General Electric IC660BBA105 115 VAC/125 VDC Current-source Analog Output Block may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Six analog output paths
- Current channels: All six outputs support 4–20 mA loops.
- Voltage option: Outputs five and six can be configured for supported voltage ranges.
- Loop power: The block supplies power to each output circuit.
- Update path: Commands from the Genius bus refresh the outputs every 25 ms.
Per-channel supervision
- Underrange: A low output condition can be reported to the controller.
- Overrange: The block detects an output beyond its configured range.
- Feedback error: Output feedback is compared with the commanded result.
- Hold state: The configured last-state behavior applies during a communication interruption.
Genius bus arrangement
- Bus interface: The block exchanges output commands and diagnostics over Genius I/O.
- BSM control: A dedicated output can drive an IC660BSM012 Bus Switching Module.
- Redundant bus: The BSM selects the available bus path in a redundant installation.
- Configuration: Scaling, fault reporting, and feedback timing are stored with the block setup.
Supply and field limits
- AC source: The documented supply range is 98–132 VAC at 47–63 Hz.
- DC source: The block also accepts 105–145 V DC.
- Current load: A current output supports loads from zero to 850 ohms.
- Isolation: The block withstands 1,500 V between blocks for one minute.
