Features:
- Combines current-loop, temperature, and shaft-monitoring channels in the R5 core.
- Interfaces separately with CTBA, TBQA, and TBCA terminal-board groups.
- Transfers conditioned measurements to the I/O Engine through the 3PL data bus.
Uses Mark V software constants to assign sensor types, ranges, and scaling.
Unlike a general digital I/O card, General Electric DS200TCCAG1B must be validated channel family by channel family because each connector serves a different measurement path.
The installed General Electric DS200TCCAG1B configuration determines whether a point is interpreted as current, RTD, thermocouple, or shaft-monitoring data.

Terminal-board connections
- JAA: Sends 4–20 mA outputs toward the CTBA terminal board.
- JBB: Receives current inputs plus shaft voltage and shaft current from CTBA.
- JCC and JDD: Carry the RTD channel groups from TBCA.
- JAR/JAS/JAT: Accept thermocouple and cold-junction inputs from TBQA.
- JC: Receives power-supply diagnostic information from TCPS.
Software values that define each channel
- RTD setup: Choose the correct RTD curve and wiring arrangement for every resistance channel.
- Thermocouple setup: Match thermocouple type, polarity, and cold-junction source to the installed terminal board.
- Current scaling: Enter the correct 4–20 mA range and engineering-unit scaling for transducers.
- Shaft assignments: Retain shaft-voltage and shaft-current monitoring assignments used by the turbine design.
- Constant comparison: Compare saved I/O constants before accepting replacement-board measurements.
Functional checks after installation
- Current loop: Inject or observe a known current value and compare the Mark V display with the field reference.
- RTD channels: Check representative RTDs across JCC and JDD for open, shorted, and plausible readings.
- Thermocouple path: Verify thermocouple polarity and cold-junction behavior at stable temperature.
- Analog outputs: Confirm each analog output reaches the correct CTBA loop and external instrument.
- Shaft monitoring: Review shaft-monitoring channels for offset, noise, and grounding problems.
Locating analog errors efficiently
- One group failed: Start at its dedicated connector and companion terminal board.
- All values frozen: Inspect 3PL communication, 2PL power, and board diagnostics.
- Scaled value wrong: Compare I/O constants with sensor range and burden resistor.
- Temperature offset: Check sensor type, lead wiring, polarity, and cold-junction input.
- Noisy shaft signal: Examine shielding, grounding, CTBA connections, and cable separation.
