Description

IS200STAOH2AAA is a Simplex Analog Output Terminal Board from GE’s Mark Vle distributed control system family. It provides eight 0–20 mA current loops, each driven by the PAOC I/O pack and capable of serving loads up to 900 Ω located as far as 300 m (984 ft) from the turbine control cabinet. A dedicated on-board ID chip announces the board’s identity to the I/O processor, enabling automatic diagnostics over the same Ethernet link that carries process data.

Mechanically, the board ships with a plastic insulator and can be panel-mounted, DIN-rail-mounted, or vertically stacked on the rail to conserve enclosure space. Two threaded holes, E1 and E2, accept chassis-ground (ScoM) screws, while an external bracket—supplied by GE or the user—terminates the cable shield. Signal wiring uses shielded twisted-pair #18 AWG routed to high-density Euro-block terminal blocks: 36-position pluggable on the STAOH1 version and 36-position fixed on the STAOH2 version. The eight analog outputs land directly on these terminals, and the I/O pack couples to the board through a single D-type connector.

FAQS

The following is a list of questions commonly asked by our customers. Please contact us if you have a question about our process that is not answered below.
Which GE series does this board belong to?
The Mark Vle distributed control system series.
What module powers the board and communicates with the controller?
It is powered by the PAOC I/O pack and communicates with the controller via Ethernet.
How does the system identify this board?
An on-board ID chip automatically sends its identity to the I/O processor for diagnostics.
What mounting options are available?
Panel mounting, DIN-rail mounting, or vertical stacking on the DIN rail to save cabinet space.
What should be noted when wiring external devices?
Use shielded twisted pair; terminate the shield through a GE- or customer-supplied bracket, and keep the device loop resistance below 900 Ω.
