Features:
- Provides two independent isolated serial ports in one RX3i slot.
- Selects RS-232 or RS-485/422 operation independently by software.
- Runs Modbus, CCM, DNP3, or Serial I/O protocols with diagnostic reporting.
Two isolated channels let legacy serial devices be integrated without consuming the CPU embedded ports.
Protocol selection, baud rate, duplex behavior, and handshaking are configured in PAC Machine Edition rather than by module jumpers.
Remote-rack operation is available through supported RX3i PROFINET scanners and CEP carriers with the supported Modbus restriction.
General Electric IC695CMM002 PACSystems RX3i Two-Port Serial Communications Module is available for Apter Power quotation and official-documentation support.

IC695CMM002 Port Configuration
- Electrical mode: Each channel independently selects RS-232 or RS-485/422.
- Baud rate: Eight rates are available from 1200 to 115200 bit/s.
- Flow control: RS-232 supports RTS/CTS and RFR/CTS hardware handshaking.
- Isolation: The ports are isolated from each other and from the backplane.
IC695CMM002 Supported Protocol Roles
- Modbus: Either Master or Slave can be assigned per port.
- DNP3: Master and Slave roles are supported with the same-module DNP3 restriction.
- CCM: CCM Slave operation supports compatible legacy connections.
- Serial I/O: Application-directed Serial I/O is available for custom exchanges.
IC695CMM002 Installation Limits
- Main backplane: As many as six serial modules may be installed.
- PNS rack: A supported scanner-managed rack accepts up to four modules.
- CEP node: A carrier-managed remote node accepts one module.
- Hot insertion: Apply the required RX3i hot-insertion sequence and site safety precautions.
IC695CMM002 Service Indicators
- Module faults: Watchdog, RAM, and flash failures are reported.
- Port activity: LEDs expose module and communications status.
- Identity data: The controller can read module identity and status.
- Upgrade path: Onboard flash supports qualified firmware updates.
