Features:
- Universal Analog Input Capability with Flexible Channel Configuration
- Combines Multiple Input Types with Cold Junction Compensation Support
- Operates in Conjunction with RX3i CPU and PACSystems RX3i Platform
The IC695ALG600-DD operates as the Universal Analog Input Module in an RX3i rack, providing versatile analog signal acquisition for all automation applications within the system. It continuously processes incoming signals from up to eight general-purpose input channels and two dedicated Cold Junction Compensation (CJC) channels, converting diverse sensor inputs into digital data for PLC processing. Seamless integration is standard with the IC695ALG600-DD, however using individually-configurable channels will allow seamless adaptation to any combination of voltage, current, thermocouple, RTD, and resistance inputs in the event of changing application requirements. The IC695ALG600-DD has made improvements in several areas over previous analog input designs in addition to incorporating universal input type capability within the RX3i platform.
The IC695ALG600-DD provides essential analog input functions common to the entire control system, and is a critical component of the data acquisition path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall monitoring and control system. One IC695ALG600-DD module is required per application depending on the desired channel count. The IC695ALG600-DD occupies a slot in the RX3i Universal Backplane and requires an RX3i CPU with firmware version 2.80 (Build ID 43A1) or later.
For Multi-Channel Analog Input applications, the IC695ALG600-DD supports up to eight individually-configured channels using the Proficy Machine Edition software. In addition to standard voltage and current inputs, the module performs automatic thermocouple type selection and RTD configuration. The IC695ALG600-DD channel configuration executes input processing using the internal circuitry specified in the module options. Using this method, the analog input system continually monitors the health of all channels. If the system detects that a channel input is outside configured range or tolerance levels, it will automatically flag the condition and place an event in the System Event List.
The IC695ALG600-DD GE Universal Analog Input Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Process Control: Monitoring flow, temperature, and pressure in automation systems.
- Mixed-Signal Monitoring: Ideal for systems where space is limited, as it handles diverse sensors like thermocouples (Types B, C, E, J, K, N, R, S, T) and RTDs (PT 385/3916, Ni 618/672) without needing multiple dedicated modules.
- High-Speed vs. High-Precision: The two isolated groups allow users to separate fast-response inputs (high-frequency filters) from slower, highly-filtered inputs to optimize system update rates.
- Error Checking: Continuous on-board error checking and full auto-calibration at power-up.
- Fault Detection: Reports module faults, open-circuits (for most types), and short-circuits (specifically for RTDs).
- Configurable Alarms: Per-channel reporting for overrange, underrange, and dual-level high/low alarms (High-High, High, Low, Low-Low).
- Physical Monitoring: Detects the insertion or removal of the terminal block and provides status via dedicated LEDs (Module, Field, and TB).
- Software Requirement: Requires Proficy Machine Edition (now PAC Machine Edition) for configuration.
- Terminal Blocks: Requires a separate high-density terminal block such as the Box-style (IC694TBB032) or Spring-style (IC694TBS032). Extended versions are available for shielded wiring.
- Hot Insertion: Supports hot insertion and extraction, allowing for replacement without powering down the entire system.
- Wiring: Specific wiring diagrams must be followed for different input types; for example, 2-wire RTDs require tying EXC+ and IN+ together at the terminal block.
