Features:
- Commands thirty-two DC field loads from one VersaMax I/O position.
- Separates the output bank into two independently wired groups.
- Provides output-state and overload indication at each point.
General Electric IC200MDL742 is the 32-point protected sourcing-output configuration in the VersaMax discrete I/O family.
The module exchanges thirty-two output bits with a VersaMax CPU or network interface unit and uses external DC field power for connected loads.
Output availability depends on field voltage, ambient temperature and mounting orientation, so the official thermal-derating limits must be observed.
The General Electric IC200MDL742 VersaMax Output Module may be available for purchase and support from Apter Power.

- Channel Count: Thirty-two outputs are arranged as two groups of sixteen.
- Switching Method: Positive-logic sourcing circuits switch the positive side of the DC supply.
- Control Data: The module receives thirty-two output bits from the VersaMax CPU or network interface unit.
- Response Time: Both ON and OFF transitions are specified at 0.5 ms maximum.
- Point Protection: Each output includes electronic overcurrent and short-circuit protection.
- Command Indication: Green point LEDs display the commanded ON or OFF state.
- Fault Identification: Amber point LEDs identify overloaded output channels.
- System Reporting: The I/O system reports overloaded outputs at module level.
- Recovery Behavior: Normal output operation resumes after the overload is removed.
- Field Source: An external DC supply provides switching power for connected loads.
- Bank Connections: Each sixteen-point group has dedicated DC+ and DC- terminals.
- Supply Stability: Field voltage must remain within range when one or more loads are shorted.
- Inductive Loads: External suppression circuits are recommended for inductive devices.
- Resistive Load: Each point is rated up to 0.5 A at 30 VDC.
- Inrush Capacity: A point can handle 2.0 A for up to 100 ms.
- Backplane Demand: Maximum current draw is 150 mA from the 5 VDC backplane.
- Electrical Isolation: User-side isolation is rated 250 VAC continuous and 1500 VAC for one minute.
- Thermal Derating: Available simultaneous outputs depend on field voltage, ambient temperature and mounting orientation.
