In May 2026, an Indonesian power-generation customer contacted Apter Power for two Bently Nevada 3500/22M 288055-01 modules. The product requirement was clear, but the first priority was trust. A previous low-cost purchase from another supplier in Shenzhen had resulted in units the customer believed were counterfeit, so the customer wanted direct evidence before completing a new international order.

The Opportunity
The end user was a power plant in Indonesia that needed a dependable supply route for critical machinery-monitoring components. The immediate requirement was for two Bently Nevada 3500/22M 288055-01 modules, but the wider opportunity was to establish a supplier relationship the customer could trust for future requirements.
Because this was the first cooperation, product availability alone was not enough. The customer needed confidence in the company behind the quotation, the people handling the order, the inspection process and the documentation that would accompany the shipment.
The Challenge
The customer had previously chosen a less expensive offer from another Shenzhen supplier. After receiving units the customer believed were counterfeit, price was no longer the main concern. The real question became: how could the customer verify both the products and the supplier before committing the full order value?
A conventional quotation and a set of product photos would not have been enough to resolve that concern.
A Payment Plan Built Around Verification
Apter Power proposed a practical first-order arrangement. The customer paid a 50% deposit so the two modules could be prepared and held for inspection. The remaining 50% would be paid only after the customer visited our company, reviewed the units and confirmed that the agreed requirements had been met.
This structure gave both sides a clear path forward: the order could progress while the customer retained an important verification step before final payment.
The On-Site Visit
The customer flew from Indonesia to visit Apter Power in person. During the visit, the customer met our team, reviewed our working environment and learned how we manage sourcing, inspection and international delivery.

Our team also introduced other automation brands and product families we support, showing that our capability extends beyond a single Bently Nevada requirement. The two modules then went through the agreed on-site review and inspection process in front of the customer. Certificate of Origin (COO) documentation was also prepared as requested.
Leonia’s Perspective
Leonia
Marketing Director
Apter Power
“When the customer explained their previous experience with suspected counterfeit products, I understood that photos alone would not be enough. I proposed a 50% deposit followed by an on-site inspection before the remaining balance was paid. During the visit, I introduced our team, explained our inspection process and supported the review of the two modules and COO documentation. After everything was confirmed, I arranged delivery to the customer’s hotel the following day.”

The Outcome
After completing the visit and confirming that the products and documentation met the agreed requirements, the customer contacted the company and arranged immediate payment of the remaining 50% balance.
The next day, Apter Power delivered the two modules directly to the customer’s hotel. With the handover completed, the customer returned to Indonesia with the order and a much clearer understanding of our people, processes and broader sourcing capabilities.
