Features:
- Feeds VersaMax backplane rails from an 18 to 30 VDC source.
- Serves as either a main station supply or a booster-carrier supply.
- Protects against short circuits, overloads and reversed input polarity.
General Electric IC200PWR001 accepts an 18 to 30 VDC source and converts it into the 5 VDC and 3.3 VDC rails used by VersaMax CPUs, NIUs and I/O modules. The two rails provide up to 1.5 A combined, including a maximum of 0.25 A at 3.3 VDC.
Mounted on the CPU or NIU, the supply powers the main station backplane. The same unit can be installed on a Power Supply Booster Carrier when the modules farther along the station require additional capacity.
Short-circuit, overload and reverse-polarity protection guard the input and regulated outputs against common supply faults. DC- is internally bonded to frame ground, so the incoming source must be grounded rather than floating.
The General Electric IC200PWR001 VersaMax 24 VDC Power Supply may be available with station-load guidance from Apter Power.

Source Requirements
- Operating Window: The supply accepts 18 to 30 VDC with 24 VDC nominal.
- Power Demand: Rated input power is 11 W.
- Starting Current: Maximum inrush lasts for a 6 ms interval.
- Reference Bond: DC- is internally connected to frame ground.
- Source Rule: A floating DC input supply cannot be used.
Backplane Output Budget
- Regulated Rails: Backplane outputs are 5 VDC and 3.3 VDC.
- Combined Limit: Total available current is 1.5 A maximum.
- Low-Voltage Share: The 3.3 VDC rail may supply up to 0.25 A.
- Five-Volt Balance: Available 5 VDC current equals 1.5 A minus the 3.3 VDC current used.
Fault Safeguards
- Fault Coverage: Internal protection addresses short circuits and overloads.
- Polarity Defense: Reverse-polarity protection is included at the DC input.
- MOV Provision: MOV suppression is built across the supply input.
- External Suppression: Agency installation may require input-to-ground MOV protection at the enclosure.
Placement Options
- Primary Position: Mounted on a CPU or NIU, the unit powers the station backplane.
- Booster Position: A Power Supply Booster Carrier accepts the unit as a supplemental source.
- Load Calculation: Supported module count depends on individual backplane-current demands.
- Ride-Through: The backplane remains powered for at least 10 ms after DC input is removed.
