Features:
- Integrates twenty-four configurable DC inputs and sixteen normally open relay outputs.
- Operates from a 100 to 240 VAC nominal supply for compact controller installations.
- Provides built-in serial communication and supports as many as four expansion units.
General Electric IC200UDR140 centralizes sensing, logic and relay switching in one Micro 40 controller, reducing the amount of separate panel hardware needed for small machines and packaged systems.
Input and output LEDs give technicians a direct view of field states during startup. Hinged covers and removable barrier-style terminal assemblies let existing wiring stay organized when the controller is serviced with power removed.
Application programs can reside in flash memory for non-volatile storage, while a capacitor maintains RAM and the real-time clock for at least 30 minutes at 25 C. An optional battery extends retention for longer outages.
The General Electric IC200UDR140 VersaMax Micro PLC may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Field Point Structure
- Input Bank: Twenty-four 24 VDC points accept positive- or negative-logic field signals.
- Fast Inputs: I1 through I8 may be reserved for high-speed counter operation.
- Relay Bank: Sixteen normally open Form A contacts provide 2 A switching circuits.
- Field Power: An external AC or DC source must power every connected output load.
Counter Signal Options
- Mode Selection: Configure as many as four Type A or Type A_32 counters.
- Quadrature Choice: One Type B or Type B_32 counter may run with one Type A counterpart.
- Frequency Limit: Counter inputs accept pulse rates up to 100 kHz.
- Output Limitation: Up to four output points support counter functions, but relay outputs do not provide pulse-train or PWM service.
Network and Growth Paths
- Primary Port: Port 1 is an RS-232 interface on an RJ-45 connector.
- Protocol Set: SNP/SNPX master or slave, Modbus RTU master or slave and Serial I/O are supported.
- Optional Port: A plug-in option can add RS-232 or RS-485/422 connectivity.
- Station Growth: The controller accepts as many as four VersaMax expansion units.
High-Speed Counter Uses
- Meter Proving: Rapid pulse processing supports meter-proving measurements at frequencies up to 100 kHz.
- Turbine Flow: Counter inputs can receive pulse signals from turbine flow meters.
- Velocity Measurement: High-speed inputs track pulse rates used for velocity measurement.
- Material and Motion: The counter functions support material-handling and motion-control tasks.
- Process Control: Fast pulse counting can be applied to process-control measurements.
