Features:
- Runs from a nominal 12 VDC source across a 9.6-15 VDC operating range.
- Reads eight 12 VDC inputs and switches six externally powered relay loads.
- Offers selectable input filtering, 10 kHz counting and non-volatile flash storage.
The low-voltage supply arrangement lets General Electric IC200UDR003 operate where a regulated 12 VDC control source is already available. Its auxiliary output reserves up to 200 mA for input circuits and eligible field devices.
Eight inputs support both positive- and negative-logic wiring, with a 0.5-20 ms filter for standard signals and a 100-microsecond path for assigned high-speed channels. Six normally open contacts switch separate AC or DC loads.
The physical assembly provides two removable screw-down terminal strips with hinged covers, two analog potentiometers, an RS-232 programming connector and a configurable Run/Stop or memory-protect switch.
The General Electric IC200UDR003 14-Point 12 VDC VersaMax Micro PLC may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Low-Voltage Source Checks
- Input window: Maintain the controller source between 9.6 and 15 VDC.
- Short inrush: Allow for a 9.2 A typical surge lasting about 200 microseconds at 12 VDC.
- Steady demand: Budget approximately 200 mA typical input current at the nominal supply voltage.
- Auxiliary limit: Keep input-circuit and external-device use of the built-in 12 VDC source below 200 mA combined.
Twelve-Volt Signal Handling
- Logic schemes: Choose positive- or negative-logic wiring to match the field sensor arrangement.
- Normal filtering: Set standard points from 0.5 to 20 ms to suit contact or sensor behaviour.
- Fast path: Use the 100-microsecond response on inputs assigned to high-speed counters.
- Threshold check: Treat 9.5 VDC as the minimum ON level and 2.5 VDC as the maximum OFF level.
Output Contact Practices
- Normally open action: Each Form A contact closes only when its associated output is commanded.
- Independent supply: Route an external AC or DC source through the relay circuit to energize the load.
- Protection planning: Add suitable branch protection because the controller does not contain output fuses.
- Mechanical limit: Avoid PWM and pulse-train assignments that exceed relay switching behaviour.
Twelve-Volt Machine Uses
- Mobile controls: A regulated 12 VDC bus can power the CPU while relays switch separately supplied devices.
- Discrete automation: Eight sensor inputs and six contacts cover compact sequencing or interlock tasks.
- Pulse capture: High-speed counters receive clean signals for event, speed or flow measurement.
- Mixed loads: Isolated relay groups interface compatible DC or AC actuators without changing CPU voltage.
