        The HIMAX X-CPU01 runs two synchronous microprocessors, comparing their data constantly. A hardware comparator triggers an interrupt if a fault occurs, and a watchdog monitors both processors. Self-tests ensure safe operation. If a fault persists after restart, the module locks—requiring user intervention.

        Install up to four HIMAX X-CPU01 modules in slots 3-6 (rack 0) or 3-4 (rack 1). The system automatically manages startup order. Remove a faulty module while the system runs—the connector board stays, and remaining processors continue. No shutdown, no process interruption.

        Four 10/100/1000 Base-T ports on the X-CB 001 01 connector board handle safeethernet protocol between HIMax, HIMatrix, and remote I/O. UDP ports 8000 (SILworX), 8001 (remote I/O config), and 6010 (safeethernet) are pre-configured. The module also supports LLDP for network discovery.

        The HIMAX X-CPU01 is the central processing unit for the HIMax safety system, mandatory for data processing and system control. It runs up to 32 user programs, handles all central functions including safeethernet communication, and supports redundancy with up to three additional processor modules. 

        Built on a 1002 processor architecture with two synchronous microprocessors and a testable hardware comparator, the HIMAX X-CPU01 continuously performs self-tests. A watchdog monitors both processors, and the module records up to 5000 events in non-volatile memory. 

        The HIMAX X-CPU01 connects via a X-CB 001 01 connector board providing four 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet ports supporting safeethernet and PADT communication. The module requires forced cooling (X-FAN) and operates from 0°C to +60°C.
