Features:
- Bridge Between Universal DC Power Source and Safety Controller Rack Backplane
- Integrates DC Power Distribution with Safety-Critical Output Capability
- Functions in Coordination with HIMA HIMatrix and HIMax Safety Systems
The HIMA F3422 Relay Output Module operates as the 8-channel relay output interface in a HIMA safety rack, providing reliable switching control to all connected field devices within the system. The F3422 continuously processes safety output commands from the safety controller and translates these logic-level signals into galvanically isolated relay contacts capable of switching loads up to 60 VDC/VAC at 2 A per channel. Seamless output operation is standard with the F3422, and its SafeS architecture ensures that all switching actions meet stringent safety integrity requirements.
The F3422 provides essential output functions common to the entire safety system, and is a critical component of the safety path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall safety shutdown system. One or more F3422 modules are required per rack depending on the desired output channel count. The F3422 occupies a standard module slot in the rack and is configured through HIMA's safety engineering software.
For expanded output applications, the HIMA safety system supports multiple F3422 relay output modules installed in available slots. In addition to standard single module operation, the system architecture also performs comprehensive diagnostics. The HIMA safety configuration executes continuous monitoring using the internal circuitry specified in the F3422 module options.
The F3422 HIMA Relay Output Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
