Features:
- Collects sixteen discrete 12/24 VDC field states.
- Accommodates either positive- or negative-logic circuits.
- Divides the input points among three isolated common groups.
Horner HE800DIM310 is the sixteen-point metal SmartStack input configuration; the DIM410 configuration in the same product family provides thirty-two points.
Its grouped connections suit panels that bring switches and DC sensors from several field circuits into one controller position while keeping their commons separated.
Before substitution, verify the required point count, the three terminal groups, field-supply polarity and the physical stack position used by the existing I/O map.
The Horner HE800DIM310 DC Input Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

HE800DIM310 DC Logic
- Input supply: The module accepts 12–24 VDC field signals with a 35 VDC peak limit.
- Bidirectional inputs: Positive- or negative-logic connections are supported.
- ON threshold: A valid ON state requires at least 9 VDC.
- OFF threshold: A signal at 3 VDC or below is recognized as OFF.
HE800DIM310 Common Groups
- Common C1: The first isolated common serves inputs I1 through I8.
- Common C2: The second isolated common serves inputs I9 through I12.
- Common C3: The third isolated common serves inputs I13 through I16.
- Isolation: Common-to-common and common-to-channel isolation is rated at 500 VDC.
HE800DIM310 Input Response
- OFF to ON: The documented transition time is 1 ms.
- ON to OFF: The documented transition time is also 1 ms.
- Minimum ON current: A definite active input requires at least 1 mA.
- Maximum OFF current: Leakage should remain at or below 200 microamps for a definite OFF state.
HE800DIM310 I/O Mapping
- Automatic layout: The I/O map follows the module model and its position in the SmartStack.
- No point editing: Users do not manually change the assigned I/O map.
- No setup values: The module has no user-defined channel parameters.
- Commissioning check: Confirm physical slot position and field-point order before testing the control program.
