Features:
- Controls configured slave devices as the CANopen network master.
- Exchanges the master process image with the SmartStack host.
- Provides online views for station presence and communication faults.
Horner HE800COM650 is the master-side SmartStack communications configuration used with compatible OCS, RCS and TIU hosts.
In a CANopen installation it occupies the coordinating position, starts configured participants and makes their field values available to the controller program through assigned registers.
A replacement should retain the HSyCon project, EDS library, station list, selected bus speed and the original host-register allocation before network service is restored.
The Horner HE800COM650 CANopen Master Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

HE800COM650 Master Setup
- Network project: HSyCon places the SmartStack master at the centre of the CANopen configuration.
- Node library: EDS information describes each slave added to the master project.
- Bus timing: One selected baud rate governs every connected device.
- Controller image: Cscape or Cbreeze reserves the host registers used by master input and output data.
HE800COM650 PDO Control
- Traffic direction: The master assigns process data to the CANopen input and output image.
- Transfer mode: PDO exchange may be cyclic, event-driven or synchronized to a SYNC message.
- Network start: A global command can move configured slaves into operation after initialization.
- Address placement: Automatic allocation or manual offsets determine where PDO bytes enter the process image.
HE800COM650 SDO Services
- Directed transfer: The master reaches one slave object through its index and sub-index.
- Parameter work: Read Object and Write Object support individual configuration or diagnostic values.
- Result feedback: Online tools report whether the requested object transaction completed or returned an error.
- Device definition: Third-party object entries must agree with the EDS and vendor information for that slave.
HE800COM650 Bus Diagnostics
- Presence view: Live List shows the addresses currently responding to the master.
- Path state: Debug Mode uses colour changes to expose established and failed connections.
- Fault detail: Node diagnostics separate no-response, guarding, parameterization and device errors.
- Emergency history: Up to five emergency telegrams per node can be retained for review.
