Features:
- Flexible Multi-Sensor Temperature Measurement
- High-Integrity Isolated Signal Acquisition
- Integrated Sensor-Fault Detection
The Honeywell CC-PAIL51 51454487-175 is a low-level analog temperature-input module for the Experion Series C I/O system. It accommodates up to 16 thermocouple, RTD, or supported millivolt inputs through the 9-inch CC-TAIL51 IOTA.
The module provides full channel-to-channel and channel-to-power-system isolation. It has a one-second input scan rate, a channel bandwidth of 0 to 4.7 Hz at -3 dB, and selectable 50 Hz or 60 Hz line-frequency integration.
Configurable Open Thermocouple Detection qualifies every conversion. A resistance of 1,000 Ω or less is guaranteed not to trip the detection function, while a resistance of 1,500 Ω or greater is guaranteed to trip it. Cold-junction reference compensation is provided for supported thermocouple measurements.
The CC-PAIL51 connects temperature inputs directly through the Series C IOTA and does not require an external Process Manager FTA. Installation, sensor selection, field wiring, grounding, and configuration must follow the Honeywell documentation applicable to the installed Experion release.
The CC-PAIL51 51454487-175 HONEYWELL Low-Level Analog Input Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Temperature measurement using supported thermocouples in Experion Series C I/O systems.
- Temperature measurement using supported two-wire or three-wire RTD configurations, subject to the applicable installation instructions.
- Acquisition of low-level millivolt signals within the supported -20 to +100 mV range.
- Process-temperature monitoring applications that require isolated input channels and a one-second scan rate.
- Channel isolation: Each input channel is isolated from every other channel and from the power system.
- Common-mode and channel-to-channel withstand: ±250 VDC or VAC RMS from DC to 60 Hz, subject to the conditions stated in the Honeywell specification.
- Open Thermocouple Detection: Resistance of 1,000 Ω or less is guaranteed not to trip, while resistance of 1,500 Ω or greater is guaranteed to trip.
- Surge protection: Sensor terminals are specified to EN 61000-4-5 for industrial locations, with 1 kV line-to-line and 2 kV line-to-ground test levels.
- Process-variable scanning: The module updates its temperature-input process values once per second.
- Line-frequency rejection: Line-frequency integration can be configured for either 50 Hz or 60 Hz, with a specified NMRR of 60 dB minimum.
- Sensor processing: The module supports the thermocouple, RTD, and millivolt input types listed in the Honeywell specification, with temperature stability of ±20 ppm/°C maximum.
