Features:
- Accepts a wide AC range or high-voltage DC input without a manual range selector.
- Provides a regulated 24 V DC, 10 A output with front-panel voltage adjustment.
- Controls its built-in cooling fan according to the internal temperature threshold.
The enclosed chassis combines the rectifier, PFC stage, isolated converter and cooling assembly in one supply.
Input energy is conditioned before the regulated output stage feeds the 24 V load through the DC terminals.
Fault circuits separate overload recovery from the restart behavior required after an output overvoltage event.
The MEAN WELL SP-240-24 24V Switching Power Supply may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Input conversion choices
- AC source: The universal input accepts 88–264 V AC across the specified line-frequency range.
- DC source: A 124–370 V DC bus may feed the same input section within the documented limits.
- PFC stage: Power-factor correction operates ahead of the isolated converter when AC is applied.
- Power indicator: The front LED identifies an energized output after the conversion stages start.
Regulated 24 V delivery
- Nominal rail: The supply is rated for 24 V DC at up to 10 A.
- Adjustment window: The output control permits a 20–28 V setting range.
- Load boundary: Combined voltage and current must remain inside the 240 W rating.
- Dynamic hold-up: The stored-energy stage maintains the output for the documented hold-up interval after input loss.
Fault-response sequence
- Overload: Hiccup operation limits sustained stress and restarts after the load fault clears.
- Overvoltage: The output shuts down at the protection threshold and input power must be reapplied.
- Overtemperature: The converter stops during excessive temperature and resumes after cooling.
- Short circuit: The built-in protection network limits the effect of an output short circuit.
Thermal operating plan
- Forced air: A built-in DC fan moves cooling air through the enclosed supply.
- Start threshold: The fan normally switches on when the monitored temperature reaches 40 °C.
- Stop threshold: Fan operation normally stops after the monitored point falls to 35 °C.
- Ambient derating: Available load follows the published curve across the -20 to 70 °C operating range.
